A logical explanation for the strange sound phenomenon recorded at night on audio by a resident of Domodedovo, while unsuccessfully trying to find the local population. Some have called it the Schumann resonance, some are looking for alien explanations, and some see the unusual noise as an ominous warning from underground.
Domodedovo "heard" a terrible creak just on the eve of the bright holiday of Easter. The news of the "Jericho Trumpets" spread all over the social networks, and people began to listen to the sounds recorded on the phone.
The author of this recording said that this half-half-half-grating rattle reached her ears at 3 o'clock in the morning. “The window was slightly ajar, I had already gone to bed and heard these sounds,” she wrote in her post. - At first it seemed to me that dogs howl or something. I opened the window to the full, and the sound became clearer and very strange. I have never heard anything like it before. All this lasted about 15 minutes, then the sound disappeared."
Netizens immediately began to tell each other that such anomalous sound phenomena had been observed over the years in different parts of the world, from Israel to the United States. And that they can be harbingers of future cataclysms.
"Quite an unusual sound, and if you decompose it into its components, you can hear a metal gate, a crusher, wind, a siren," Vladimir Kryuchev, an expert on sounds, author of the sound map of Sergiev Posad, shared with MK. - In theory, it could even be ventilation. It would be interesting to know if there is an enterprise in the district, what kind of ventilation system at the house, and whether the roof is well fixed. Wind, air or metal, it seems to me, is quite tangible here. Something mystical would be the last option."
According to Pyotr Shebalin, Director of the Institute of Earthquake Prediction Theory and Mathematical Geophysics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, there are no unexplained sounds in nature. In any case, until now science has found an explanation for any sound phenomenon. Therefore, such expressions as "the hum of the earth" and "Jericho trumpets", which are contained in the description of the supposedly mystical sounds of our planet, are only figurative expressions of those who are inclined to dream up.
Petr Shebalin believes that at the level of assumptions, many sources of such strange noise can be found. After all, there is an airport on the territory of the Domodedovo urban district, and two planes landing or taking off, with a short distance between them, may experience such a resonant sound effect that will be extremely unpleasant for the human ear. Another thing is that airplanes hardly fly now.

But, for example, local historian Alex Rdultovsky is a supporter of the theory of sound mirages. According to him, the daytime sound of the city is sometimes completely reproduced on a quiet night, as if bouncing off the ground.
