Bridger Petrini, a 36-year-old hunter from New Mexico, was a master of his craft. On the network you can find a photo from 2016, where he poses in front of a huge deer he killed.
Petrini was very fond of hunting big game, but wisely did not associate with bears. However, the man still could not avoid meeting this formidable predator.
The recent fight with the bear could have ended tragically for the hunter, the predator saw a large and tasty piece of meat in Petrini.
A hunter met a big bear a couple of weeks ago, not even on a hunt, but on a walk in the forest with two dogs not far from his ranch. And with him he did not have a hunting rifle, but only a small pistol.
"I suddenly found myself too close to him, and the beast was very aggressive," says Petrini, a miracle survivor, "When he saw me, he pressed his ears and immediately rushed to attack."
According to Petrini, the fight was fierce. The man and the beast rolled on the ground and the bear managed to grab Petrini's hands a couple of times, but the hunter continued to fight for his life.
Surprisingly, Petrini did not lose his composure even when the bear switched from his hands to his leg and began to bite into the flesh with his huge teeth.
"He managed to rob me of a large piece of meat."

Shocked by the pain, Petrini managed to pull out his pistol and start shooting at the bear. And he shot him. But even when he died, the bear continued to grip his injured leg with his teeth.
“It was as if I was caught in a trap and could die at this place, because I could not move,” says the hunter.
Petrini was lucky that he had his mobile phone with him and got through to the emergency services. The arriving rescue squad could not even budge the 400-kilogram bear carcass, so they simply sawed off his head.
After Petrini was dragged to level ground, the medics managed to extract his leg from the bear's teeth. Then the man was taken to the hospital, where more than 200 stitches were put on the torn leg.
According to physician Steve McLaughlin, he had never seen anything like it before. According to him, the bears are very strong and huge, and with one blow of their paws they can inflict deep tears and bruises.
Petrini was discharged a week later and now he continues to recover, the nerves in his leg were badly damaged and he also lost a large piece of flesh.
