I must say that the crack-toothed looks, indeed, strange: its wool is long and hard, like that of hedgehogs, the muzzle is like that of a shrew - with a very long nose, and very impressive dimensions for insectivores (length about 30 centimeters, weight - about a kilogram).

Seeing off the enthusiasts on the expedition, everyone said that it was easier to catch a ghost than this animal. Even now we do not know anything about their lifestyle: what they eat, how they hunt. These animals are very distant relatives of shrews and hedgehogs. Chittooths became an independent species 76 million years ago. They can be called "living fossils".
By the way, the lifestyle of this animal is far from peaceful: the bite of the cracker is poisonous. Perhaps this is what helped the little animal outlive its dinosaurs the same age.
