In the tales and legends of many peoples of the Earth, creatures are often found, as a rule, of a humanoid type, possessing enormous stature, superhuman strength and supernatural abilities. Who does not remember the hero Svyatogor or the giant Mimir from Asgard, or, at worst, the biblical Goliath?
If you carefully study the folklore of various peoples, you will notice that the fact of the existence of a civilization of giants on Earth runs like a red thread through the entire ancient history. Moreover, at the same time with the giants, there were also giant reptiles with which the giants waged a continuous war. Indeed, in the overwhelming majority of cases, all kinds of reptiles or dragons act as opponents of the giants.
Some researchers find evidence of the existence of giants in the huge number of cyclopean structures left by them around the globe. Stonehenge, the ruins of the Karnak complex, the pyramids - why would people build such Cyclopean structures? Separately, we should talk about some of the monuments left to us. As a rule, most of the sculptures made in antiquity are of human height and only occasionally (for the construction of monuments or temples) sculptures with a height of 3 meters or more are used. However, when the overwhelming majority of the sculptures of a particular culture are more than 5 meters tall, and with smaller sizes are absent altogether, one cannot help wondering - did people really do this?
At the beginning of the 20th century, huge stone tools were found in Australia, the weight of which ranged from five to ten kilograms; these were axes, knives, scrapers. It is difficult to imagine a person capable of handling such large tools. However, the finds made a month later in the same area shocked archaeologists - they were huge prints of human feet. If you calculate the proportions of the height of the creature that left them, then it would reach almost four meters.
A decade later, several skeletons of humanoid creatures were found in Central Africa, ranging in height from three and a half to four meters. The total number of finds of tall people exceeds a hundred, however, official science cannot provide an explanation for this phenomenon.
Not least is the fact that the age of these fossils is very difficult to establish. For some reason, radiocarbon analysis of these remains gives very conflicting results. The age of these fossils is estimated from 20 thousand to several million years, although the shape of the skeletons and the proportions of the limbs are almost the same for all finds; they repeat the shape of the skeleton of modern man, however, they are large in size.
There are many different theories explaining the appearance of such creatures, but none of them is accepted by modern science. These include, first of all, theories of the appearance of mankind on earth as a result of a genetic experiment of some galactic civilization. The giants could be either a side branch of this experiment or some of its means; they could be used to observe the first human subjects, or played the role of gods, creators, and so on for them. It is not without reason that in many religions the knowledge gained by mankind often came directly from the gods or their messengers, for example, Prometheus gave people fire, Athena gave an olive tree, and so on.
Or maybe we are not at all a product of the experiments of aliens, but their "younger branch", the stepchildren of civilization, thrown to this remote "planet"? Perhaps we are the descendants of ancient prisoners who were exiled here as punishment for some crimes? It is possible that the punishment included the loss of some of the power inherent in these creatures, and over time, the power was completely lost, and the relatively small stature is just a side effect of the deprivation of this power. This may well explain the supernatural abilities of the ancient giants.

An interesting fact: science fully admits the possibility of the existence of giant reptiles and insects, but categorically denies the existence of giant humanoids. And, surprisingly, the main argument is not the absence or "rejection" of archaeological evidence for the existence of giants. The problem lies in the so-called "square-cube law". Its meaning is that when the size of a creature, for example, doubles, its volume increases eightfold, and its surface area only quadruples. The mass of the animal (proportional to the volume) has increased eightfold, and its strength and metabolic rate (they are proportional to the area of muscle fibers and the surface area of the lungs) - only four times, therefore, such an animal will not be able to live and move normally. This is a very powerful argumentbut can it be used in our case? Why do we think that the basis of life and the principles of physiology for giants should be the same as for us?
Some scientists are inclined to think that earlier, in the relatively distant past, the human race was much higher than it is now, however, with changing climatic conditions (for example, with the onset of the ice age), humanity has become much smaller. This explanation is quite scientific, since it fits into all existing theories - from genetic biology to the theory of evolution. Our species adapted to new conditions, in which it became problematic to survive with large sizes.
According to anthropological studies, an increase in the average growth of the world's population has been observed over the past five thousand years. Each new generation becomes a fraction of a centimeter higher than the previous one. Who knows - perhaps we are witnessing the opposite process, the process of returning the species of Homo Sapiens to its natural appearance and giants will appear on the earth in a few thousand years?
