With a gastric energy generator, reoperation is never required to change the batteries, and any battery in the patient's body is potentially dangerous. There is always a possibility that it can depressurize and cause severe poisoning.

Using the new technology, it will be possible to implant not only eternal pacemakers into the human body, but also medical bio-robots and even smartphones. However, it will take several years before this becomes a reality. So far, scientists have been able to make only microdevices work on gastric juice that read the heart rate and measure blood pressure and temperature.

Now scientists are thinking about how to make the device work not only in the stomach, but also in the small intestine.
