Eva Vermeiren, a 20-year-old resident of the Netherlands, miraculously survived the terrible exhaustion caused by anorexia.
Eve was 16 years old when she developed a compulsive (uncontrollable) eating disorder, which left her exhausted to a skeletal state and ended up in the hospital.
The girl also suffered from severe depression and was engaged in self-harm - she cut herself with a knife. The scars from this are still visible on her hands.
But now Eva looks like a very plump girl and she finally considers herself happy. She was not even offended by the recent taunts of the boys on the street, who began to grunt like pigs at the sight of her.
Eve's stories quickly went viral and spread throughout the English-speaking Internet.

The girl is still battling with an eating disorder and a number of other mental disorders, but she made amazing progress. According to Eva, now she can finally safely attend school and work, and her self-confidence is returning to her.
In her twitter, Eva does not tell why she developed severe anorexia and depression, perhaps her peers mocked her or something else happened, but for her now the past no longer matters much. Most users in the comments call Eve a real heroine and support in different words.
