According to doctors, in science what happened to the young man is called Lazarus Syndrome
According to the British newspaper Daily Mail, a unique case occurred in one of the London clinics - a young Briton, brought to the hospital with a heart attack, did not survive it and the doctors pronounced death, but 30 minutes later, the young man revived again - his heart began to beat again, and the brain is working.
According to doctors, in science what happened to the young man is called Lazarus Syndrome. This is an extremely rare phenomenon; today there are only 38 generally recognized cases of this syndrome worldwide. Doctors say that the "resurrection" of people after clinical death is a well-known phenomenon, but in most cases such a "resurrection" occurs 3-7 minutes after cardiac arrest.
The syndrome takes its name from the biblical archbishop Lazarus, who, according to the scriptures, rose from the dead.
However, unlike the biblical character, 23-year-old Michael Wilkins was less fortunate and he still died two days after the "resurrection".
“When a doctor declares a patient dead, it is absolutely serious, you must be absolutely sure of it. We pronounced the young man dead after more than 15 minutes were unable to restart his heart,”says John Whittaker, the young man's physician.
After the young man finally died on the second day, an autopsy showed that he had an undiagnosed abnormally thick left ventricle of the heart.
