In the cases below, one can notice a surprising similarity between the descriptions made in different countries and at different times, that is, independently of each other. This shows that people were dealing with the same mysterious phenomena.
Kemerovo poltergeist
Invisibles of the times of perestroika. One of the most striking examples related to shadows, ghosts and poltergeists broke out in Russia and lasted from August 1986 to February 1988. This is the famous Kemerovo poltergeist, the development of which was systematically monitored by Tomsk researchers headed by V. Salnikov.
At the epicenter of extremely mysterious phenomena was one young family: a married couple Mikhail and Lyuba, and their four daughters from five to two years old. It all began in an old rented apartment in August 1986. In October of the same year, a large family was allocated a new four-room apartment on the eighth floor, but frightening oddities continued to occur there as well.
Even in a rented apartment, the children complained to their mother that at night they see some kind of "uncle" and that supposedly she herself comes to their bedroom, bends down and stares into their eyes. The children were very frightened by this, and they asked their mother why she was behaving so badly.
Mikhail could not believe for a long time even in his new apartment that something strange was happening. One day in October 1986, he even announced it out loud. The heating in the house had not yet been turned on, it was cold, and they had to sleep in warm sweaters and trousers. The next morning, Mikhail woke up completely naked, to which he was quite surprised: “I don’t understand ?!” And then I saw that the pillowcase had disappeared from his pillow too. All these things turned out to be tightly packed into a two-centimeter gap between the wall and the sofa!
As a rule, the poltergeist manifested itself in the form of knocking on windows (and this is on the 8th floor!) And doors, rumbling of dishes, opening and closing of various taps, doors and doors, steps on the floor, clicking switches, strange phone calls, rendering physical impact on people ("strangulation", squeezing ", etc.), human voices, the meow of a kitten, the purr of a cat were heard. One day an unplugged kettle boiled. They paid for electricity 10 times more than neighbors in a similar apartment next door. But the ghosts were the worst of all! They most often appeared in the evenings and at night in the form of acquaintances and strangers. And one day the ghost of a recently deceased family friend appeared.

At times, the ghosts looked like shadows, but often they could not be distinguished from living people.
Once Lyuba woke up from a strange feeling of uneasiness and suddenly saw: a dark gray human shadow floating out of the corner. She got scared, closed her eyes, and when she opened it, everything disappeared. After Lyuba repeatedly saw this shadow floating out of the corner. And once a hand separated from the shadow, began to reach for it and suddenly, grabbing by the throat, began to choke. The woman could hardly free herself from her hand, and in the morning she found traces of someone's fingers on her neck. The bruises that appeared hurt for a long time.
At night, she was often "crushed" and "choked", and on her grandmother's advice, Lyuba put a cross around her neck. However, he was torn off or pulled by the chain. Lyuba was afraid to look at the one who did it. Once she turned sharply and saw that an absolutely black man, dressed in black monastic clothes, with a face covered with something like a black burqa, was pulling by the chain. Under Lyuba's gaze, the man began to back away and disappeared.
Once Lyuba's sister Olga and her husband Igor stayed overnight at Lyuba's. The three of us went to bed in this order: Lyuba, Olga, Igor. Mikhail went to bed in another room. In the middle of the night Lyuba woke up and saw that Igor was sleeping next to her, and Olga was behind him. Lyuba was surprised at this rearrangement and turned to the wall. Then she turned again and saw that her sister was already lying next to her. She did not sleep and was surprised to say that she saw her Igor lying against the wall and next to him Lyuba. In reality, no one changed places - only the appearance of the sleeping people changed.
The next night Lyuba, Mikhail and Igor stayed up late playing cards, and Olga went to bed. Suddenly, a frightened one comes running, and says: the door opens, Igor enters in shorts, holding cards, he shuffles them. He went up to her, stood there, and left without a word.
It seemed strange to her, so she came. However, everyone saw that Igor did not go anywhere.
And here is what Lyuba reported about the most recent events before the end of the poltergeist in February 1988:
“Friends and acquaintances to whom I told what was going on here, of course, did not believe me. I suggested stay overnight. There are 5 guys left. Everyone lay down side by side, just diagonally in the hall, with their feet to the door. At night I slept peacefully (I generally sleep peacefully). Woke up from a whisper. I came to them, and three guys who slept in the middle are discussing who felt what (two who slept along the edges never woke up, although we woke them up). At first, someone pounced on them, something pressed on the chest, and it was as if they were "broken". Everyone woke up in a cold sweat. I invited them to lie down in a "safe" corner. Two did just that, and Vova, the most curious who called everyone together, stayed and suffered all night.
The next day he died in a car accident. We buried him. And that night, after the funeral, I suddenly heard his voice and woke up. I look, it looks like Vovk. White-white, his skin was very white, and in colored shorts, as I saw him that night when he spent the night with us. I, of course, was very scared, but not at a loss, I remembered that my own grandmother taught me: if something happens, ask, for good or for worse. I asked. And he brushed it off, he did it all the time, this is his gesture, and says: "Yes, for good, Lyuba, for good." And, as it were, he walked away and disappeared into the doorway. And after that everything became calm in the house.
And during the funeral, his grandmother came up to me. Vovka told her what was going on with us. And she did not believe: "I have lived all my life, but I have not seen anything like it." And then at the funeral she came up to me and told me. That night, when Vova spent the night with us, she was awakened by a knock on the window. And they live on the third floor. She was scared. Then they knocked on the door. She asked: "Who is there?" Behind the door: “Granny, it's me, Vova. What are you not opening? " She felt uneasy: “What are you, Vova, you have the key. You never woke me up, why are you planning to wake me up now? " And he: "Well, if you don't want to open it, look at me out the window." She was very afraid, but it was as if something had brought her to the window. Looks, Vova stands under the window. And the place is as if illuminated, you can clearly see it.
Smiles and waves his hand, as if saying goodbye. And it goes further and further. And so he left, backing away. When he disappeared from her eyes, her heart somehow felt heavy. She lay down on the bed. And then someone pounced on her, shaggy, red, some eyes shine. Perhaps half a meter tall. So he climbs to kiss. She brushes him off, dumps him, and he grabs and kisses. He kissed me from head to toe. Swore - disappeared. In the morning she decided that something had happened to Vova. And then the news came about the death of his grandson. And it seemed to her that this redhead was reassuring her. She loved her grandson very much, and Vova loved her very much. His mother felt nothing.
By the way, Vova is one of those people who immediately believed in my stories. We once sat and talked with him. He says: “I envy you, Lyuba. You have everything: home, children. And I am 17 years old, I saw everything. But there is no "such", I have not seen. I want to see and then I will calm down."
So he calmed down, it seems, at the cost of his own life …
Ghosts of Enfield
• 1977, August - strangeness began in Anfield, a suburb of London, where a family of three teenage girls, their 7-year-old brother and mother lived in one of the houses. It all started with loud bangs on the walls of the house. Then furniture began to turn over, a variety of household items whistled in the air, doors opened and closed by themselves, fires appeared, streams of water flowed, human bodies experienced an invisible, but clearly physical impact. More often these mysterious phenomena appeared in the presence of 11-year-old Jeannette.
A hoarse, raspy, eerie voice emanated from her. It sounded even when the girl was taking a mouthful of water. These videos were even shown at one of the parapsychological conferences.
But the most unusual thing was that not only household things were flying in the air, but also the girls themselves. Once from the street we saw toys, textbooks, girls' clothes floating in the air in a clockwise direction in the air. Then one of them appeared. Approaching the window, she pushed off the glass with her hand and continued on.
The poltergeist has become more and more complex over time. Children began to see ghostly figures. 7-year-old Jimmy was especially frightened when he met a ghost who appeared in the form of an old face with long white teeth and piercing eyes. Then notes were sent, voices began to be heard; the latter were even recorded on tape. At times ghosts were seen - doubles of the inhabitants of the house. By the middle of 1978, all these mysterious phenomena eventually stopped.

Mysterious phenomena began to occur after Mrs. Mary Sherman moved with her children, and she had six of them, to a new home. It was in Leeds, Yorkshire, in 1962. One evening, in front of the woman's eyes, the toilet door opened by itself and from there, Mary says, a head stuck out - completely gray, with small curls. Then the owner of the head herself appeared, a very old woman. Tilting her head to one side and screwing up one eye, she stood right in front of Mary for several seconds. A strange smile wandered across her face. Finally, the old woman raised her hand and shook her white stick.
The next morning Mrs. Sherman told the neighbors about it. They identified the ghost as Mrs Napier, a lonely old woman who lived in the house before the Shermans moved in, and was found dead in the closet.
Following the first appearance of the ghost of the deceased, doors began to open and close by themselves, and all sorts of small things moved from place to place. Slow, shuffling steps were heard on the stairs. From time to time I saw the one who was doing all this. According to Mary, at night something unimaginable happened in the nursery: mattresses floated in the air, blankets rolled on the floor, curled up in huge balls. Somehow a roll of linoleum unrolled by itself.
And one evening Mary, two brothers and children who visited her, saw something completely incredible in the nursery: 12-year-old Michael was hanging in the air above the bed at almost two meters height! He hung with open eyes, but in a kind of strange numbness. One of the brothers with difficulty lowered the body down, the feeling he had at the same time was as if you were immersing an inflated chamber from a ball in water. They called the police and an ambulance, Michael was taken to the hospital, but the next morning he was sent home.
The Shermans, on the advice of friends, moved to another house. But one cannot run away from oneself - the poltergeist is not tied to a place, but to people, because in the new house everything continued as before. Moreover, a new ghost began to appear - the ghost of Mary's mother who had died shortly before. And only after the third move in 1974, the noisy spirits finally left the unfortunate family alone.
The shadows of the dead move furniture
In 1927 - 1930, the poltergeist became attached to two Hindu brothers born in 1911 (Ramakrishna) and 1919 (Damodar), who became orphans in the early 1920s. True, around Ramakrishna, mysterious phenomena began to occur from about the age of 9: the owners of tea shops, where he was willingly hired to work, soon one after another began to expel the boy, as the soda or lemonade given to him to visitors unexpectedly flew into the air, and cups and glasses fell on the floor and shattered by themselves.
1923 - the younger brother was adopted by the Ketkarov couple, who lived in the city of Pune. In 1927, Ramakrishna joined them, with whom, as it turned out, noisy spirits moved into the house. From August 1928 they took a liking to Damodar and vexed him until October 1930. Then everything stopped.
Preserved detailed descriptions of what is happening, made by Europeans: by Mr. Ketkar himself, a famous publisher, his daughter-in-law, who taught at one of the colleges in Pune, as well as Dr. Jensos, the Ketkar family doctor. They witnessed the most mysterious phenomena: self-movement of objects, their inexplicable disappearance from sight by some kind of invisibility, and so on. The brothers have repeatedly stated that they are "carried through the air." In two cases this was witnessed.
The sister of Ketkar's daughter-in-law reported that at 9.45 am on April 23, 1928, the eldest of the brothers suddenly appeared in front of her in the doorway in an extremely strange position: half bent, with arms spread apart, hands relaxed, feet not touching the floor! He looked like a man being carried, gripping his torso tightly.
The family doctor told about what happened to his younger brother before his eyes: “I put the absolutely naked boy in a small bed, felt his pulse, asked him to lie still. Then he closed the door and windows and sat down in a chair in the corner of the room. He looked at his watch - it was exactly one thirty in the afternoon. He threw a sheet over the boy. About 15 minutes later, I saw the sheet pulling off the bed, the bed itself moving to the middle of the room, the boy rises above his bed and gently lowers to the floor. An inkwell which was on the table by the window was immediately thrown at me, then a heavy glass paperweight whistled past my head.
The ghosts only appeared to Damodar. It began in August 1928. Those were his older brother, former nanny and father, who had died by that time. They saw each other both together and one by one. When the furniture moved in front of those present, Damodar announced who was doing it. At times, people with whom the boy was not familiar appeared in the form of ghosts. Fortunately, ghosts did not bother him very often.
