People have reported large cat-like animals that they saw both day and night. Most often, reports came from country roads. Eyewitnesses noted. that these cats are brave and very agile. Most cats are seen in the area around the Blue Mountains. where there is a large water dam.

Grose Valley resident Chris Kofi has an extensive database of eyewitness observations and has accumulated over 330 records over the past century and this century. He says that he saw the "tiger" in his yard at least five times and that it was as large as his 63-kilogram rottweiler.
Not so long ago, a resident of the Burragorang Valley found large cat paw prints, measuring 15 by 12 centimeters. Judging by the degree of indentation of the tracks, it was assumed that this creature was rather heavy and weighs at least 30 kolograms.
