In order to imagine an ancient giant, clasp your chin with your fingers as if you were thinking about the world's problems. Now spread your fingers apart and imagine a jaw that is much larger than yours. And above it, add an imaginary bucket-sized skull. The skull of the red-haired giant, whose lower jaw you see in the photo, was even larger.

The next photo is a faithful sculptural copy of the femur by Joe Taylor, director of Mt. Blanco Fossil Museum. It shows part of a skeleton, 4-5 meters high (with a foot length of 50-56 cm), found in Turkey in the 1950s.

Now look at the skull from Corrèze, France, found in 1908, which is similar to the skull of a Neanderthal, but much larger. It was glued together by archaeologists, since the bones had to be removed from the ground piece by piece.
At the end of the 19th century, a similar skull, similar to the Neanderthal one, was discovered in a Belgian cave. Presumably, he belonged to some intermediate species.
A very interesting find from North Wales - large copper mines, which are at least 3.5 thousand years old. They found about 2.5 thousand hammers, each of which weighed 27 kg (for comparison: the weight of a modern hammer is no more than 9 kg). Such a tool would require a 2.7 m long handle! This suggests that the height of the people working in the mine was from 3.5 to 5.5 meters.
Did such people exist or not? The length of the mummified finger in the photo is 38 cm. It could have belonged to a person five meters tall.
