In the American Las Vegas, an amazing event that defies logic happened, witnessed by over a hundred people.
Seventy-six-year-old Margaret Manning from Michigan was put on a wanted list after she disappeared during a magician's performance at the famous Casino Royale hotel. The artist asked the elderly woman to take part in the trick and made her disappear in front of the public. Nevertheless, after thunderous applause, the magician did not manage to bring the pensioner back.
The performer under the stage name Erasmus the Great appeared in Las Vegas quite recently and has already become a real celebrity thanks to his impressive and extraordinary performances. This time, the illusionist chose a random person from among the spectators, who, unfortunately, was Margaret, and placed him in a large glass box. The magician covered Mrs. Manning with a black velvet sheet, then pulled back the fabric, and the box was empty. A few seconds later, Erasmus the Great performed this action again, but the woman did not appear.
The perplexed artist repeated his manipulations with the sheet a couple of times, after which he asked someone behind the scenes to "check the mechanism." About ten minutes passed, and the illusionist turned to the audience with a request to call the police as soon as possible.
The pensioner may not return
Eyewitnesses say that the daughter and two granddaughters who accompanied Margaret immediately began to sob and grabbed their mobile phones. Later, the relatives of the disappeared told the law enforcement officers that the pensioner did not express much desire to participate in the performance and even hinted to the miracle worker that it would be better for him to take someone else on the stage. Despite this, the magician was very persistent, and the woman had to agree.

Las Vegas police officers searched the hotel for six hours looking for Manning, but to no avail. Erasmus the Great carefully explained to law enforcement officers how his trick works: there is a secret hatch on the stage, which first gently lowers the person down, and after a while lifts him back in the same way.
According to the official version of the investigation, the pensioner for some reason refused to return upstairs or simply did not understand that it was necessary to stand still under the stage. However, where could she go? The police are still looking for Margaret in Las Vegas and cannot find it. The elderly American woman really vanished into thin air when the illusionist covered her with velvet. But she could not completely disappear?
At the moment, Erasmus the Great, whose real name has not been disclosed to the public, is one of the suspects in the possible abduction of a woman, especially given his insistence that it was Margaret who participated in this trick. The artist was not arrested due to the lack of evidence, or rather the complete absence of it, indicating a crime, but was asked not to leave the city until the end of the investigation.
