Swedish divers examined the mysterious object at the bottom of the Baltic Sea and filmed it. As stated on the official website of the organizers of the expedition, none of them had seen anything like it before.

The unknown, rounded object resembles a large mushroom that rises three to four meters above the seabed. On top it has an egg-shaped hole, in addition, at the top there are also strange formations, similar to foci covered with soot.

“In my 20-year scuba diving career, I have completed 6,000 dives, but I have never seen anything like it. Stones, as you know, usually do not burn. I cannot explain what we saw, and so I organized an expedition to the bottom of the sea to find answers to the questions that arose, but as a result I returned from there only with new questions,”said Stephan Hogeborn, a member of the expedition of the Swedish diving team Ocean X Team.

And his colleague Peter Lindbergh said that at first he considered the strange object to be just a stone, but then he became convinced that it was “something else”. “Since there have never been volcanoes in the Baltic Sea, this is even stranger. As non-specialists, we can only guess where this natural phenomenon came from, but this is definitely the most amazing discovery in my career as a professional diver,”he said.

Ocean X Team is mainly engaged in searching for treasures at the bottom of the Baltic, where there are a huge number of sunken ships. They stumbled upon a strange object last summer while trying to lift crates of champagne from one of these ships to the surface.

When the divers told about their discovery to reporters and published a picture from the echo sounder, the media immediately saw a similarity between their find and the famous ship of Han Solo from Star Wars. This hypothesis was confirmed by the footprints on the bottom, similar to the furrow from the spacecraft landing on the ground. Lindbergh himself was somewhat more careful in his statements and preferred to compare the find with Stonehenge.
