The ancient city of Jerusalem! Here every stone, every tree, every house has its own history. The air itself is permeated with incredible energy and gives a pleasant feeling of something great.
In the old city there is the Way of the Cross of Jesus Christ, with appropriate stops, the Temple where the Last Supper was held (in fact, everything is very close!), The Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
Other shrines include the Wailing Wall, a Jewish shrine. Men and women praying separately at the wall. There are even separator turnstiles. And yet - don't be surprised if you see metal detectors: Jews guard the Wall very carefully, so you will have to go through the checkpoint first.
Among the Muslim shrines there is an ancient mosque, but tourists are not allowed there. as far as I understood, only people who believe in Allah can enter there. For the rest, the path is closed.
In addition, something like the Pilgrim's Library was recently opened at the Jaffa Gate. The Orthodox Mission has located in a very cozy building a shop with souvenirs, icons and books, as well as a library of Orthodox literature. A traveler can always sit on the sofa, relax, read and even have a cup of tea:-) I think if you are tired, then this additional information may be useful to you.

Jerusalem is the assemblage point. A sacred place for three civilizations. A place that is associated with David, Solomon, Jesus, Mahamet (listed in the order of the time of life). We will walk through the ancient city and see the holy places of Jerusalem. Let's talk about the historical and spiritual realities of these places. We will see how a European person sees the holy city and what mark he leaves in it.
