If we turn to folklore, then the idea of immortality is inherent in all peoples and generations. Suffice it to recall rejuvenating apples, living and dead water, witchcraft, which allows you to "take away" youth from others, and then numerous scientific research in this direction. Which are still being successfully continued. And if only yesterday scientists believed that a person's life can only be extended, say, up to 300 years (by the way, this is exactly how much nature has measured for us, if a person did not destroy his body with everything possible, from gluttony to drugs), then today there are already bold claims about possible immortality.

This was stated, for example, by Woodring Wright, professor of molecular biology at the University of Texas at Dallas, who came to the conclusion that the "biological clock" that measures the years of a person's life can be stopped. We will not dwell on the details of the technology of this "stop", which, firstly, is still only in theoretical development, and secondly, it is rather difficult to understand. In general, we can only say that this is due to the resumption of the activity of the protein, which is responsible for the restoration of the size of chromosomes in the human body.

The question is: is immortality a blessing or a threat to humanity as a species of intelligent animals? So, the Brazilian researchers of the University of São Paulo came to the conclusion that the death of a person (as, indeed, of any other highly developed animal) is a natural program that allows any kind of living creatures on Earth to develop and adapt to the changing external conditions of existence.

A team of Brazilian scientists led by André Martins simulated on a computer two populations of humanity - ordinary and immortal (death can only be externally violent or internally suicidal). It turned out that "immortal" humanity is waiting for a complete extinction, and quite fast, while mortal people can exist, developing and adapting to the world, almost indefinitely.

Scientists who study nanotechnology and predict that homo sapiens is waiting for a transition from a mortal biological form of existence to an immortal technological one, that is, it may very soon become nano sapiens - a creature living according to the laws of development technological forms of thinking life.

But what in this case, many other researchers of this problem parry, awaits a person? Will he turn into the most ordinary robot? Insensitive, cold and completely far from the ideal that people strive for? And the very life of these robots with what can be compared - with heaven or hell?

Spiritual people are generally surprised by modern scientists and their far-fetched problems. Man, they argue, is immortal from the start. Our physical body can be compared with a shirt, which the immortal soul of a person constantly changes in order to accumulate experience and improve in this way, rise to the light, to God. And what in this case do the modern "wise men" offer? Wrap yourself up in immortal shackle shirts? To voluntarily condemn your soul to indefinite imprisonment in one of the most primitive and uncomfortable worlds of the infinite divine universe? Indeed, if there is no God in a person, he rolls down to the devil - straight to hell …
