My mother's childhood was very difficult: it fell on the hungry post-war years. They ate what and how they had to, and my mother had problems with digestion, which she explained by the stomach ruined from school.
Doctors diagnosed her with peptic ulcer disease and suggested surgery. But my mother, of course, did not want to go under the knife, she was treated with folk remedies. Then I decided to turn to a well-known healer in our region.
She immediately identified the cause of her mother's many years of suffering, saying that severe damage was directed at her, and even as a child. She spoke a can of water and gave it to her mother, instructing her to drink in the morning and evening. At the same time, the healer warned that bouts of vomiting would begin and that you need to carefully look at what would come of it.
Already on the second day of treatment, my mother came out … a large, about 10 centimeters long and two thick caterpillar of dark purple color with orange dots and long fibers.
At first, my mother looked at this "miracle" in bewilderment, then she called me. And I, too, saw this creature, weakly moving in the basin, and could not believe my eyes.
Then my mother, remembering the order of the healer, went to look for a bag in which to put the caterpillar. I also left the bathroom. When we returned, the caterpillar was nowhere to be found! She could not crawl out of the bathtub, that is, she simply disappeared!
When the healer listened to this story, she was not at all surprised, saying that this happens very often: the damage simply returns to the one who brought it (if, of course, he is still alive). Realizing that it was this question that interests mom most of all, she told:
- During your school years, you had to live with strangers, and they were not very happy with an extra mouth. Here is the mistress of the family and put spoilage on your stomach.

From what she heard, a frost ran over my mother's skin. After all, everything was so. From the age of ten she wandered around the people, since in their village there was only an elementary school - four years old. I had to continue my studies in another village - tens of kilometers from home, to rent a corner from strangers.
Although her parents brought village gifts to the owners - bacon, eggs, etc., the hostess always put only potatoes in their uniforms on the table.
Perhaps their own children were secretly fed and better, but the tenant went half-starved. But you still had to study and on weekends to make many kilometers of transitions to your village!
Mom remembered all this, but she did not want to believe that an innocent child could be spoiled only because he turned out to be an extra mouth!
But then a half-forgotten fact suddenly surfaced in her memory: and the son of the owners, her age, drowned when he was not even fifteen years old. Could it not be a punishment from above on his mother for ruining the health of someone else's child?
By the way, after this story with the caterpillar, my mother's stomach pains disappeared, and her digestion improved.
