Doubles and ghosts of living and deceased creatures are quite common. But magicians, parapsychologists and those who are familiar with the phenomena of occultism know that it is possible to create such a phantom artificially, at will. There are many examples of this.

Magic doubles

There is a parapsychological practice, with the help of which one can consciously "split". Usually it is associated with meditation exercises.

It is used in yoga schools, esoteric centers, and religious societies.

Tibetan lamas, Buddhist monks, and some Islamic Sufis are fluent in this technique. People have been able to deliberately "go out into the astral" since ancient times.

So, the ancient Egyptian nobleman Basilid, wishing to be present at the ritual in the temple, while he could not arrive in Alexandria due to illness, sent an ethereal double instead, and he appeared to the Roman emperor Vespasian who was in the temple. This case is described by the eminent Roman historian Cornelius Tacitus (55-120 AD). The creation of doubles was usually also succeeded by those initiated into secret religious rites - mysteries.

Saint Anthony of Padua, who lived in the XIII century, one day, while reading Mass in the Cathedral of Saint-Pierre du Quairrois in Limoges, suddenly saw that he was reading it at the same time in the cathedral of another city. The same thing happened with the Roman saints Ambrosius and Clement.

And in the twentieth century, the monk Pius from Apulia (Italy) in his astral body visited patients who needed his help, who were at a considerable distance from him.

The famous Giuseppe Balsamo, who is also Count Cagliostro, also used the services of a phantom double. The doppelganger appeared among people without instilling any suspicion in them. Subsequently, however, it turned out that the graph was seen simultaneously in several places.

A contemporary of Cagliostro, a certain Pinetti, known as a skilled magician-illusionist, performed at the courts of European monarchs. The Russian Emperor Paul I in 1800 put him to the test: he appointed to come to his office for a fee; while the guards were ordered not to let anyone into the palace.

At the appointed time, the emperor was informed that Pinetti did not leave the house. However, at that moment the door opened, and the magician himself entered the office. The guards swore that no one passed by her … On the eve of his departure from St. Petersburg, Pinetti announced that at noon sharp he would pass through all fifteen city outposts. And indeed: at noon he was seen at each of the outposts, and everywhere he was registered with a passport!

A similar incident is reported by the American writer Theodore Dreiser. One friend promised to visit him "in an unusual way." On the evening of the same day, this man actually appeared before him. But as soon as Dreiser came closer, the guest … melted into thin air! The French traveler P. D. Geso, who visited Guinea in 1950, witnessed the split of the sorcerer Vuane.

He slept in the hut opposite him, while Geso saw him standing at the door of the hut. The next morning, Vuane confirmed that he had "left" the hut at night. To visit where he wanted, he did not need to move his physical body …

The shamans of Siberia have always mastered the art of creating doubles. They say that the Yakut shaman Kychakan, pursued by the authorities, was simultaneously in seven places. They could not arrest him, because no one knew where the real Kychakan was.

The famous traveler Alexandra David-Neil in Tibet has repeatedly encountered this phenomenon. A familiar lama several times sent his ghostly double to her, and it did not even occur to her that there was a phantom in front of her. One day she saw a llama sitting on a folding chair near her tent, but when she approached him, a haze enveloped him, and he disappeared. Another time Alexandra met him on a deserted road, and they talked for a long time, and then the lama suddenly disappeared right before our eyes.

Blinded from thoughts

One of the most mysterious anomalous phenomena is materialization. We are talking about the creation of material objects and even living organisms from some invisible substance surrounding us. According to parapsychologists, some types of ghosts can also be the result of materialization.

Under certain conditions, a living being is capable of emitting elementary physical particles, which then combine with each other and form a material structure outside the body of this creature. Usually this structure is unstable and quickly "disintegrates". But particles remain floating in space even after the death of the physical shell.

Having mastered magical practices, a person can give any desired features to the phantom created by him. Perhaps the mediums who claim to communicate with the spirits of the dead are in fact coming into contact with their own "mental creations."

For example, the well-known sensitive brothers Schneider from Braunau am Inn possessed the gift of materialization. The Schneider family was fond of spiritualism. The house had a special tripod for "automatic writing", that is, for writing down the messages of the "spirits" by subconscious "dictation". Once, when one of the brothers, Willie, brought his hand closer to this tripod, its shaft suddenly moved and wrote the name "Olga". From further phrases, it became clear that Olga is Lola Montes, the favorite of King Ludwig of Bavaria.

Since then, Olga's spirit has been constantly "in contact" with Willie Schneider. During the sessions, Olga moved objects and touched people. One of the eyewitnesses told how one day, during a session, he saw a tiny woman's hand, which appeared from under a blanket lying on a chair. He wanted to grab her, but something hit him hard. A similar thing happened with Willie Schneider's brother, Rudolph.

The already mentioned Alexandra David-Neil in the book about her journey writes that Tibetan magicians are able to create not only doubles, but also entities called "tulpa". "Tulpas" are endowed with any traits - at the request of their "master". Some of them are quite like real people.

Usually "tulpa" carry out various missions and assignments of their creators. But sometimes these phantom creatures get out of control and begin to live an independent life, sometimes turning into sinister monsters that can even harm a person. In this case, the magician seeks to destroy his creation, and it - his. If the tulpa outlives his master, he too can become dangerous. Before dying, the sorcerer must get rid of the phantom.

With the help of magic rituals David-Neil managed to create his own "tulpa" - a fat good-natured monk. But soon the monk's face began to change, his features sharpened, cunning and anger appeared in them. The phantom began to behave aggressively. Other people saw him, many took him for a creature of flesh and blood. Only six months later, Alexandra was able to completely destroy her creation.

Today, a group of members of the Society for Psychical Research in Toronto have also managed to create an artificial ghost. Together they "developed" the image of an English nobleman named Philip, who lived in the 18th century. In 1973, Philip first "got in touch". During the seances, extraneous knocks were clearly heard. With their help, the Toronto researchers conducted a dialogue with Philip. At the same time, the "ghost" moved objects, once even turned the table over. The observers, no matter how hard they tried, could not find any traces of the hoax.

Virtual or real?

There is strong evidence that thought can even revive … literary characters. After all, their images are nothing more than information capable of materializing.

One such incident occurred in London. Dutch tourists met a tall, thin man in old-fashioned clothes on Baker Street. Looking closely, they discovered that they were in front of them an exact copy of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes, as he is depicted in portraits and in films. The tourists thought he was an actor, made up to look like a literary hero. But then before their very eyes "Holmes" passed through a brick wall and disappeared! Subsequently, a professor of psychology A. Sanderson commented on this incident as a "collective hallucination." But it turns out that the ghostly figure of the detective was seen on Baker Street and other people.

An amazing incident happened in the vicinity of Ussuriisk. The teacher took her class to the cinema for the film "White Bim - Black Ear", which made an indelible impression on the children.

Soon the guys went on a hike. And at night a dog appeared from somewhere near the fire, like two drops of water similar to the White Bim from the movie! The kids ran to get food for the dog. One boy lit up the place where "Bim" was sitting with a lantern, and the teacher was surprised to notice that for some reason the animal did not cast a shadow.

Meanwhile, the schoolchildren began to persuade "Bim" to come closer, but he did not move. Then the guys began to put food in his bowl. And suddenly, in front of everyone's eyes, the animal began to melt and finally, as it were, dissolved into the air.

Fictional saviors

The mechanism of "thought-creation" is a delicate matter. In the literal sense of this word, we do not know how the laws of the subtle world "work". It happens that the appearance of phantoms provokes some kind of extreme situation. We call the saviors, and they come, completely unexpected for us and at first glance, quite material.

Elena, an accountant by profession, often had to return home late. She usually took her dog with her to work. But then somehow in winter I decided that she would get home alone. A man was standing on the corner near her house. Noticing Elena, he walked slowly towards her, apparently intending to block the road.

Out of fear, the woman pretended to call the dog, began to shout: "Come to me, come here!" The stranger immediately turned around and went his own way. Then Elena found that a large red dog was walking next to her. She had never seen her here before. The animal was looking at the woman intently. “What are you following me? Elena exclaimed. - I didn't call you! Turning away, she took a few more steps, looked back - the dog had disappeared. Most likely, this essence was a product of the consciousness of a frightened woman, which then destroyed her itself.

Probably, some fictional creatures become more and more real over time, penetrating our dense world. No wonder the saying says: the word is not a sparrow, if it flies out, you won't catch it.

Thought is the same word, only unspoken. But any word is necessarily preceded by a thought. So various monsters and "flying saucers" can literally be a figment of our imaginations. What consequences will this lead to in the future - unpredictable …
