Look at this! On Monday, there was an amazing “Split Sunset” in the skies over Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. The sky was simply divided into two, gray and colored. And this unprecedented phenomenon - for me at least - left the local sky watchers and photographers fascinated.
People marveled at the strange sight of a split sunset as the sun began to set over the horizon in Kelowna on Monday night.

Photos of the so-called “Split Sunset” were posted to viewers on Global News on Tuesday morning, and many thought the two parts in the photo looked like “before” and “after” Photoshop.
that strange phenomenon could of course be explained by the feature of the relief, which blocked part of the sun's rays. But what is there big enough to hide half the sun?
