Those wishing to walk along the beach near the village of Rossili, on the Welsh Peninsula of Gower (Great Britain), were in for a shocking sight the other day. The bodies of more than fifty sharks lay along the entire beach near the water, and the "shark" strip stretched for one and a half kilometers.

Since a piece of fishing line was found in one shark's mouth, a version appeared that these sharks were thrown away by fishermen, since sharks are an illegal catch.

But there is another version that connects the dead sharks with other remains, this time of an unidentified whale-like creature that was found here a few days earlier. The creature had a strange and not whale long tail.

The first shark body was found by 24-year-old Laura Campbell, who went for a walk with her friend. She described how dead sharks were lying around, which were about a meter long. Laura and her boyfriend have counted over 50 shark bodies. According to the girl, the sight was shocking.

Judging from the photographs presented, sharks belong to different local species. There are no official statements about the cause of their death. A Welsh Natural Resources spokesman confirmed that they were aware of the incident, but he passed this on to the Swansea Council.
