More than 50 crystals are taken from a woman's eye every day. They are tough and sharp, but do not pose an immediate physical threat. The diagnosis has not yet been made, but her family members are not discouraged and believe that she will be cured.

A resident of the village of Spandaryan in the Shirak region of Armenia - 22-year-old Satenik Ghazaryan - heard a story about a girl crying with emeralds, watched reports about people whose eyes were falling crystals instead of tears, but did not believe it. Two months ago, the first "diamond" was taken from her right eye. The family members thought that the glass had fallen into the eye socket through negligence, but after two weeks of constant crystals appearing, loved ones became worried and took her to the hospital.

As the girl's mother-in-law Zemfira Mikaelyan told the reporter, the doctors at first reacted with suspicion to this case. Some even accused the woman of lying. They suspected that Satenik herself was putting glass in her eyes to attract attention. However, after lengthy checks, they shrugged their shoulders and advised to wait for the results of the examination of the samples taken from her. When these results come in, nobody knows. This is extremely upsetting for her family members. They were even with the Deputy Minister of Health, they were well received, but so far to no avail. They hope to meet with the head of the Armenian Ministry of Health Arsen Torosyan and receive the necessary treatment.

The Satenik family is low-income. She got married at fifteen. Her husband has a disability of the first group, her father-in-law and mother-in-law are pensioners, the child is five years old. They are not able to pay for medical treatment abroad, if necessary, and even inside the country they will not be able to do this. Satenik will also not be able to wait for help from his parents - her mother raised her and four more children alone.
