In the Pavlodar Irtysh region, an inventory of historical, cultural and natural monuments has begun.

The task of scientists is to create a map of the sacred places of the region by the end of the year with a full description of their location, as well as scientific and historical significance. In addition, as it became known today, near Lake Toraigyr, where the so-called "Bayanaul Stonehenge" is located, archaeologists will open their branch of the scientific center.

"Kurgan with a mustache" or the so-called "Bayanaul Stonehenge" promises to become a new business card of the Irtysh region! And interest in him is only growing. It is a monument to the ancient Celtic observatory located in the southwest of England. To unravel all its secrets, archaeologists even intend to open their branch here near Lake Toraigyr. In the meantime, each find for research is sent to Pavlodar.

Elena Tusheva, researcher at the Margulan Center:

- Bayanaul is a very rich land. Rich in finds, rich in culture. There are many monuments on the territory of Bayanaul.

And this is the Konyr-Aulie cave. Tourists sometimes line up to see one of the mysterious places of Bayanaul. According to one of the legends, it has been known since the time of Noah's ark.

Altynbek Kurmanov, ethnographer:

- The people honor this place as sacred. There are many legends about how people were saved here during the Flood, and how it heals the sick from the most serious ailments. There are several compartments in the cave, and in the center there is a dome.

The archaeological season has just started, and scientists already have something to please the scientific world. At the Kempirtas cliff, they found rock paintings that no one knew about before.

Enlik Abeuova, historian-ethnographer of Pavlodar Pedagogical Institute:

- For us it is, of course, a sensation. It gives us further impetus for new discoveries and studies. As part of the Tugan Zher program, these studies are being carried out, and in the future, our historical and cultural heritage will be replenished.

15 excursion routes were personally developed by Marina Karimova. She is the best tourism instructor in Kazakhstan, and even has the first state license. Marina is also actively developing hiking and rock climbing in Bayanaul. It is under her leadership that a huge tent city is laid out at the foot of the mountains, where teenagers from all over the country come.

Marina Karimova, Honored Tourism Instructor of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

- Of course, living in tents is interesting. There are difficulties, but if we sit at home only at the computer, the lights are simply turned off, a person will not know what to do. This is ecological tourism, this is adventure tourism.

Experts promise to create a map of the sacred places of the Irtysh region by the end of the year. This means that there will be new excursion routes and the opportunity to actively develop tourism.

Salauat Temirbolat-uly, correspondent:

- Places of historical battles, rock paintings, winter quarters, sites of ancient people - there are over 30 sacred places in Bayanaul. And every year the number of tourists interested in these unique monuments is becoming more and more. And, as a rule, these are representatives of the younger generation.
