This 5-year-old boy will experience severe vomiting whenever he is experiencing severe emotional distress. As a result, the baby, which looks like an angel, reminds others of the victim of the demonic possession.
Five-year-old Zachary Collins, a resident of the English resort town of Torquay, has a rare disorder called cyclic vomiting syndrome, also called acetone syndrome in children.
Because of him, the boy cannot really enjoy any strong emotions like receiving gifts for Christmas or his birthday. Any emotional upheaval causes the child to vomit so uncontrollably that from the outside he looks like a demon possessed.
Soon after Zachary was born, the doctors who examined him began to wonder what kind of disease was causing these strange symptoms. Initially, he was diagnosed with acid reflux and prescribed medication, but his symptoms persisted. It took many months to establish the correct diagnosis - cyclic vomiting syndrome.
Unfortunately, this disorder cannot be cured, so the boy's parents have to heavily dose the emotional turmoil that their child may face.
They try not to make him very happy or upset with anything, not to make surprises and not even show on TV any films or cartoons that can cause strong joy or sadness. And still, on any holiday like Christmas and his birthday, Zach is faced with severe vomiting, which nothing can be done about it.
Some victims of this syndrome suffer from vomiting for hours or even days on end. They then wake up and feel completely normal until they have a new attack after a month or more. The syndrome can affect a person for months, years, or even decades.
