It is believed to have been erected by the ancient Tiwanaku culture in the Bronze Age, between 1000 and 2000 years ago. This ancient site is home to some of the most fascinating ancient stone structures on the planet's surface.
Shrouded in mystery, the archaeological site of Puma Punku is one of the biggest headaches for archaeologists of mainstream science, unable to explain how ancient cultures carved and shaped these granite stones with incredible precision, transported stone blocks that weigh over 50 tons, and placed them in position like puzzles, so that even a sheet of paper cannot pass in the joint between them.
But if riddles weren't enough for you, here's another one. There is a magnetic anomaly in Puma Punku.
The stones for Puma Punku are believed to have come from the Tiwanaku culture in Cerro Khapia, about 70 kilometers away.
