A large black cat was spotted and photographed near the Massa Marittima resort in the Italian province of Tuscany
A large dark cat, which was jumping into the trees, was noticed by a family from Florence near their house in the village of Prata, located a few kilometers from the resort. Its members said that for about a month they had not seen the usual wild boars and deer living in the hills surrounding Prata in the vicinity of the house.
Another eyewitness, as it turned out on Sunday, saw an unusual animal twice last week, and one day he found him sleeping on a tree branch in his garden.
“She woke up and I saw her yellow eyes. She was not huge, no more than a wolf or a large dog. Seeing me, the panther did not run away, but climbed higher up the tree,”said an eyewitness.
After the second meeting with the panther, he reported it to the foresters, who installed cameras near the village and were able to photograph the animal. They may have to use bait to catch the cat, RIA Novosti reports.
Massa Marittima is a small popular tourist resort located near the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The town was founded in the XI century; many architectural monuments of the XIII-XIV centuries have been preserved here.
Let me remind you that in 2010 a similar black cat was observed in the forests on the border of Belgium, France, Germany and Luxembourg. Most reports of strange black cats come from the UK, where this creature has long been famous at the level of Nessie or Bigfoot.
