Close The Pension Fund of Russia (PFR) is proposed by the authors of the petition on the website of the Russian Public Initiative (ROI). They believe that the money raised from pensions is spent on maintaining a huge staff of officials and maintaining offices, and not on improving the lives of Russian old people.

In the published petition, the authors point out that the liquidation of the PFR may lead to an increase in the benefits of each Russian pensioner by 2-3 thousand rubles. “Swagger, cynicism and indifference to pension applicants is off the charts, no complaints are considered - the state within the state is on the neck of pensioners. Yes, there are additional sources of funds for the Pension Fund, but they do not compensate for the amounts that fall out of the pensions of citizens of the Russian Federation,”they write on the ROI website.

It is indicated that 122 thousand people work in the state of the pension fund and money from pension savings goes to their "comfortable life". With the liquidation of the PFR, according to the authors of the initiative, corruption will disappear when applying for and recalculating pensions. These services will be able to provide Multifunctional centers or the portal of State services. "At present, more than 100 million users of the State Services portal are registered, that is, almost all of the working-age population of Russia has an account on the portal," the initiative says.

The authors of the petition also remind that at the moment some of the savings of citizens are already in the accounts of banks and non-state funds. At the moment, the initiative has been supported by over a thousand people.
