The articles of Damian Trela, a Polish researcher of anomalous phenomena, have already been published on our pages several times. In addition to the UFO theme, they also pay special attention to so-called “high strangeness” cases, which should be given a place in folklore recordings rather than in the realities of our day. But nevertheless … In this case, we will talk about an event where an eyewitness had a chance to encounter a strange creature under no less strange circumstances.
In July 2002, in the small village of Milówka, Pani Kristina, while participating in a local mass event, experienced close contact with a mysterious chimera. Interestingly, the strange creature was observed only by her. All this was accompanied by a rather strange "distortion of space-time." This allows us to assume that the basis of this "meeting" should be sought for "mental-psychic" factors. Whether it was a real creature of flesh and blood, or something else, one can only guess.
"This story actually happened," - this is how the 32-year-old Mrs. Christina, now in exile, began her story during a telephone conversation. Her experience contains a very significant paranormal element and at the same time finds parallels with folklore. Such events, where eyewitnesses observe demonic creatures, as if they came from the pages of fantastic works or from mythology, are accepted with restraint by many researchers of the paranormal, based on the absurdity of the situation itself, which is why many of these messages remain on the periphery as difficult to assess. Also, very often such eyewitnesses are credited with over-interpretation of events and, in extreme cases, deception. The problem is that P. Christina's experience is authentic, and after many years she again and again returns in her thoughts to that day,which is firmly imprinted in her memory.
The events described below took place in a small area of Milówka, located in the Silesian Voivodeship, in July 2002. How we react to the message of p. Christina depends solely on how wide our consciousness is open to accepting the unknown. This case opens up a fairly wide field for discussion on the question of how complex our world is.
“It happened a long time ago,” said P. Christina. - I was 19 then. One day I went to Milowki for a sporting event that took place at the local stadium. We arrived there by train. To get to the stadium, we had to overcome about 2-3 km from the station across the fields. During the event itself, we communicated in a larger company - acquaintances joined us. At a certain point, it became clear that everything was already coming to an end and it was necessary to think about returning. It was already around 21.00. Someone from our acquaintances offered to give us a lift to the house in order to save us from the tiresome journey to the station and the train journey. We liked this offer, as we could stay at the festival a little longer than we expected. When we were sitting and talking, someone suddenly came running to us and said,that someone broke a car window with a stone. Everyone immediately got up and quickly went to the car, and I went with them. I don't know why this incident interested us so much, but we all got up together and quickly headed to the scene. The car was parked in the nearest parking lot. I walked behind everyone. At some point, I felt a strong urge to turn over my left shoulder. She looked and was dumbfounded. At the end of the parking lot, in the light of a lantern, an amazing creature was sitting. I stopped and started looking at this something. And it looked at me with mutual interest. We were separated by a space of several meters. I don't know when a group of my acquaintances left. Suddenly I stopped hearing voices around me, I felt myself disconnected from the surrounding reality. I stood as if hypnotized, but at the same time I was aware of what I was doing. The creature that I saw looked like some kind of toad or something like a [dragon? - trans.]. This association arose when I looked closely at his head. The head was broad and flattened. Her eyes were characteristic - slanted and yellow. The creature sat on its hind legs, and rested with its front legs. It was in a position like a dog sitting on its hind legs. The light falling on him from a nearby lantern outlined his forms. It was a massive animal, perhaps 60 cm tall, with massive forepaws. The latter ended in a sort of clenched fist, so I didn't see any fingers or claws. I also noticed the color of his body - it was dark and rather rough. The creature sat at the edge of the parking lot and lawn. It was turned in front of me, so I could not see what it looked like from behind. Interested inI approached him at a distance of 3-4 meters. I stood and watched. After about four minutes it began to glance to the left and gradually turn to the left with its front paws. In the end, I don't know how this observation ended. When analyzing certain points from the message of P. Christina, one can note the presence in it of some aspects that are very characteristic of the paranormal. The special motive of "turning off" the witness is highlighted, which is also often found in many cases of close contacts with UFOs. “I felt completely isolated, but at the same time I was well aware of what I was seeing,” an eyewitness said. In this case, it is difficult to reduce the described events to hallucinogenic states. P. Christina never experienced such experiences and did not use any stupefying means that could affect the quality of perception. However, she felt herself “disconnected” from reality for a while. This indicates that events could have developed in some other plane of reality. It should also be added that the eyewitness also does not remember the moment,when she was again close to a group of her acquaintances, near a car parked 15 meters from the scene. Her friends also did not pay attention to the fact that Christina broke away from their company for 4-5 minutes. “I just don't remember how all this observation ended, how the creature disappeared and how I ended up near my acquaintances,” she summed up.
So what happened here? Some fluctuations of space-time, or should this creature, which was noticed by P. Christina, should be considered from the point of view of cryptozoology? It is difficult to believe that some living relic is prowling around Milówka, which suddenly appeared in the very center of a mass event, and no one else noticed it. How, then, can this event be interpreted?
Such incidents reveal a close connection with folklore and mythology, thus being a manifestation of a kind of "living folklore". Slavic ethnography is full of legends about meetings with chimeras (demonic creatures) who stood in the way of people and sowed fear and confusion in their psyche. We usually look at such things through the lens of rationality and interpret them as folklore. However, it should be noted that this, although rare, is also happening today. This is evidenced by the reports, which, among other researchers, are also collected by Arkadiusz Miazga, who classifies them as "Polish Magonia".

If we discard the cryptozoological aspect, then we can come to the conclusion that the force behind such meetings balances on the border of our reality and collectively connects to the human psyche in order to pull out images from our subconsciousness that can somehow be perceived by a person. The setting in which such phenomena occur does not have to be limited to the framework of our three-dimensional reality. It may turn out to be a landscape of another reality, which is in a conglomerate with ours.
The spectrum of versions is very wide, but the subtext of events with such a paranormal component always comes down to one thing: the creation of an absurd irritant (the vision of a demonic monster), stimulating cognitive interest in the human subconscious and expanding the view of the supernatural. And all this opens up wide opportunities for an intellectual search for a person.
