A creature unknown to science, described by Arsenyev, scared the Khabarovsk residents to death

At the beginning of this autumn, Dmitry Nikonov, a resident of Khabarovsk, traveled with a friend along the Bikin River, which flows into the Ussuri. And then one night they heard drawn out screams, similar to the crying of a woman. Moreover, the source of the sound did not stand still, but moved: screams and howls were heard now from one place, now from another place. The travelers, as Dmitry confessed, experienced a chilling fear.

Then, already in Vladivostok, they heard a story about a "flying man" supposedly living in the wilds of the Ussuri taiga in the southern part of Primorye.

What kind of mysterious creature lives in the seaside taiga? This question, by the way, was also asked by the famous researcher of the Ussuri region V. K. Arseniev. This is what he wrote in one of his books:

“My dog was trailing behind. On the trail I saw a bear footprint, very much like a human. Alma bristled and grumbled. And after that someone swiftly rushed to the side, breaking bushes. Alma snuggled tightly to my feet … At that time something happened that I did not expect at all. I heard the flapping of wings. A mass, large and dark, floated out of the fog and flew over the river. The dog expressed obvious fear and huddled at my feet all the time. At this time, screams were heard, similar to the screams of a woman … In the evening, the Udege began to lively discuss the version that a person who can fly through the air lives in these places.

Only a notorious skeptic can disbelieve this testimony of Vladimir Klavdievich. Arsenyev highly valued his scientific reputation and would not write about what he was not sure of.

By the way, in the dossier of the President of the Primorsky Association of Ufologists Alexander Rempel there are similar facts concerning the "flying man" and already related to our days. Curious, for example, is the story of the famous Far Eastern tracker Yong Wang Shan. Once he was chased by "female" screams for several minutes. The taiga dweller did not see the creature itself, but in panic he ran along the path for more | kilometer and since then has never returned to that place. Perhaps he was frightened by the cries of some bird? Yong Wang Shan takes offense at such questions: having lived all his life in the taiga, he would recognize any bird by its voice. It was something else - a creature unknown to him.

Hunters tell about this creature, allegedly seen in the area of the Pidan and Cloud mountains. He was heard more than once in the 1930s - 1940s in these parts. The following fact is also known. In 1944, six soldiers, led by old men, worked on a farm near Yekaterinovka (southern part of Primorye). bus. One evening two of them were returning in a cart with food from the village. Before reaching three kilometers to the farm, the soldiers saw a huge luminous ball descending to the ground. At the moment the ball landed, heartbreaking "female" screams were heard. Throwing the cart, the guys rushed to the farm. After that, they were terrified of the dark, talking about the "flying man".

Promotional video:

Recorded by Alexander Rempel and the story of the hunter A. I. Kurentsov. At night, the hunter suddenly woke up with the feeling that he was being watched. With a peripheral vision, I saw something huge and dark swiftly falling onto the fire in a gliding flight with a steep descent. Having overturned on his back to avoid a collision, the hunter saw a man flying over him, almost touching the ground. Kurentsov remembered the webbed wings, similar to the wings of a bat. He quickly jumped up, hid behind the trunk of the nearest tree, from where he did not leave until dawn. In the morning I examined everything around, but did not find any traces.

An even more terrible fear was experienced by the Ivanitsky family. Late at night, she was awakened in her hut by an unusually loud chirping, similar in timbre to the song of a cricket. The Cricket, however, quickly fell silent. The head of the family discovered that the sound was coming from under the bed, and saw under it an unusual creature huddled against the wall: either a dog, or something else. I tried to lure out - it did not work. The Ivanitskys began to throw slippers under the bed. The "dog" jerked and suddenly threw forward a long trunk, with which it tried to grab the owners' legs. Here, the frightened family was forced to defend themselves and beat the creature with anything, and the children sprinkled dichlorvos at it. The creature shrank, rolled into a far corner and fell silent. When they pulled him out from under the bed and looked well, they saw something unknown to anyone, and resembling a small dog in size, but with a short bluish coat, two three-toed paws and hard wings about one and a half meters long, shaped like the wings of a bat. The creature's muzzle was similar to a cast in plaster of a human face, almost flat, with a large forehead not covered with hair, very large eyes and a tiny lipless mouth. Instead of a nose, the creature had a triangular hole. It was apparently already dead. He was thrown into a hole left by the builders. Later, the pit was filled up.was already dead. He was thrown into a hole left by the builders. Later, the pit was filled up.was already dead. He was thrown into a hole left by the builders. Later, the pit was filled up.

What was it? What is true in this story, and what is possibly fiction? - it is impossible to establish today, since the history is long-standing and the researcher does not have direct evidence of what happened. But a real sensation can be considered the testimony of tourists from Alexander Lazarev's group, who made a stop at Mount Pidan. Tourists saw a man flying from the mountain on a hang glider. Attracted the attention of the "winged" design of the hang-glider and (seemingly) a child flying the aircraft. The video camera brought the flying man closer, and the operator suddenly saw that this was not a hang glider at all. An image of an unusual "face" of a winged creature - perhaps a huge bat with an almost human face unknown to science - remains on the video camera.

In the winter of the same year, four hunters from the village of Tigrovy were resting by the fire. They heard a terrible noise near a small lake. Interested, took a gun and flashlights, clicked the dogs and went to the lake. When approaching the shore, the dogs howled, tucked their tails and snuggled up to people (remember that Vladimir Arsenyev describes the dog's reaction when meeting a flying creature in almost the same way). Near the tree, people saw a human figure about one and a half meters tall. In the light of the lanterns, they saw a creature with huge red-orange eyes and wing-like arms. The "flying man" flapped its wings and flew low between the trees. And here is another piece of evidence, the most recent.

Khabarovsk resident Inessa Grigorieva at the end of January came to the village of Anisyevka to rest. Walking along the outskirts of the village, she noticed a large bird flying in her direction. I looked closely, trying to determine what it was, and was dumbfounded. “I saw two human-like legs hanging down,” she says. - The creature descended, made a circle and flew away. The wings were motionless, the creature moved silently. He had a human face, at least I could see his mouth and big eyes."

Who, after all, has lived for hundreds of years, and perhaps more, in the seaside taiga. A relic that has survived to this day? Mutant? An alien creature that occasionally visits the Ussuri jungle? Perhaps someday we will find out …
