Gobi Desert today: no trace of life …
These are man-made stone giant "circles" similar to those created in many other places around the world (for example, in Jordan, Britain or Kazakhstan). The time of their creation is at least 4500 years ago (but the back border may be much older). There would be nothing like that, but … the Gobi desert in northwest China appears in many ancient legends and sources. They say that this place (like the Sahara in Africa) was not always a desert. Once there was an oasis where people lived … Moreover, the Gobi Desert is called one of the centers of the then civilization, destroyed as a result of global climatic changes.
The stone structures located near the city of Turpan have the shape of circles and squares, some of the stones, as scientists have found, were brought from afar, apparently with a specific purpose. Recall that a stone structure of unknown functionality was transported to the famous Stonehenge - though not from such distant places, from Wales.
Enguo Liu, a local archaeologist who studies rock formations in Turfan, says such structures are found throughout Central Asia. Similar structures can be found in Mongolia.
In 2003, archaeologists carried out excavations in the vicinity of Turpan in the hope of finding burials (the official version links such places with the "cult of sacrifices"), but they did not find any human, animal remains or artifacts.
Scientists suggest that some of the stone circles were made in the Bronze Age, while others, more complex formations, were created much earlier.
Ancient stone circles are located near the Fiery Mountains in the Turpan basin. The area is characterized by very high daytime temperatures (up to 50 ° C), it is one of the hottest places on Earth.
