The owners of The White Hart Inn in Bodmin, England, Cornwall, claim that their pub is a real phantom.
An invisible guest from the other world has the habit of barely audibly clinking empty glasses, scattering kitchen utensils on the bar counter and moving chairs around the hall. However, the other day, the ghost threw out a completely unexpected, albeit harmless trick, which made the pub employees open their mouths in surprise.
On Monday, December 19, the owners of the establishment proudly posted on the social network "Facebook" a photo of the Christmas tree installed in the bar that day. The British dressed up the forest beauty with silver and gold balls, as well as attractive tinsel. The festive tree was crowned with a five-pointed red star. Nevertheless, on the morning of the 20th, the staff who came to work was amazed that someone had managed to turn the fir tree overnight. There were no signs of breaking into the premises, while nothing was missing from the pub, so the British reasonably thought it was a ghost's trick and did not call the police.
Upon learning of this, the owners of The White Hart Inn posted on the World Wide Web a new snapshot of the Christmas tree with the comment: “Look what our friendly ghost threw out this time! At least he has a sense of humor."
Richard Jago, who works here as a waiter, shared his impressions of the ghost's trick with reporters: “We dressed up a Christmas tree on Monday night and went home, and when we returned in the morning, we noticed that it was turned upside down. Only employees have the keys, and we did not find any traces of hacking. It is very strange. Even those of us who do not believe in ghosts cannot deny the obvious. The spruce turned over either by itself, or with the help of some supernatural forces."
It turned out that the ghostly prankster securely anchored the tree between the floor and ceiling. Even the tree decorations did not fall down. At the bar, after a short meeting, they decided not to return the tree to its previous form for the winter holidays, so as not to upset the playful phantom.
