Australian scientists from the University of Canberra concluded that the highest recorded temperatures in 2015 will become commonplace by 2040. This conclusion was made by climatologists by studying temperature indicators over recent years, according to the Bulletin of American Meteorological Society.
Scientists have worked out the temperature indicators of the winter months in recent years in Europe, Asia, Australia, and the USA. After that, a climate model was created, confirming the fears of experts about the dynamics of temperature growth. According to the indicators of this model, the abnormally high temperature of 2015 in 2040 will become quite common.
Although scientists noted that in the regions the situation may develop somewhat differently, due to the smaller amount of greenhouse gas emissions.
Scientists, led by study author Sophie Lewis, are urging to respond to their well-founded findings about skyrocketing temperatures and take appropriate action.
