For each of us, the role of a smile in a person communicating with you often outweighs his many professional qualities. It's no secret that Yuri Gagarin was not the leader in the first group of cosmonauts. And only his open smile contributed to the fact that he was the first to conquer space. Alexander Maslyukov did not have a theatrical education, and among 200 applicants for the role of the leading KVN, he was inferior to many in his professional qualities. And only his charming smile made him stand out from the crowd of applicants.

Happy faces are important in the service industry. The smiles of the guides and staff at the hotel create a positive mood for tourists who come from different countries to get acquainted with the sights of Russia. “A smile is contagious, and this is the most important thing in the hotel business,” says Isidoro di Franco, CEO of Marriott Park Hotel (Italy), and, according to the participants of the International Conference of Hospitality Professionals, it is “the calling card of the hospitality industry”. “A smile has become a priori a guarantee of good quality of service”; “Smile should become a habit” [1, 2].

To increase the attractiveness of its country for foreign tourists, the Malay Ministry of Culture has decided to carry out the following action: send 850,000 Malay officials to special courses that teach smiles and good manners. Before the 2008 Olympics, many residents of Beijing had to undergo special training in order to learn to smile at all strangers on the streets, which is generally not accepted in China (Fig. 1).

The organizing committee of the 29th Summer Olympics held special “hospitality master classes” in the capital of China. Where volunteers of the upcoming Games received bracelets with the inscription "The smile of an Olympic volunteer is the best business card in Beijing!"

A smile, on the one hand, enhances the relaxation of the facial muscles, and on the other hand, it creates an impulse of positive emotions, which is sent to the cerebral cortex, which is already sufficiently prepared by muscle relaxation for its perception. Smiling is a way of self-regulation. It serves as a tuning fork, attuning the body to a positive attitude towards the environment, relieves stress, and promotes communication.

The famous American psychologist Paul Ekman identified 19 types of smiles: sincere; scared; a smile of contempt; restrained; pathetic; cruel (sadistic); flirting; confused; "Chaplin's smile"; sad and happy; frightened-contented; excitedly happy; surprised and satisfied; evaluating; obsequious; conciliatory; response; feigned; covering.

The laws of a beautiful smile were brilliantly used by image specialists who "put a smile" on the stars of Hollywood. In America, someone who does not smile could lose his job.

It was the American artist Harvey Bell who invented what we often use in Internet correspondence - the "smiley". And a small smiling yellow face, it turns out, perfectly lifts the mood.

The birthday of the "smiley" is celebrated annually on September 19. For the first time, World Smile Day was celebrated at the initiative of H. Bell in 1999. The artist believed that this day should be dedicated to a good mood. It is not for nothing that the motto of the Day of Smile is the following: “Do a good deed. Help one person smile."

We have analyzed the methods of forming a person's smile ("Glow" by V. Levy; "Hollywood smile"; "Chinese smile"; "Ocean of inner smile" by M. Chia), and, having modified the method of the latter, we managed to offer the technology "Waterfall of smiles" [1, 2].

Where a person, several times a day, vividly imagines how a powerful inexhaustible stream of water is formed in the glaciers of Elbrus, a falling waterfall on the top of the head and penetrating into all organs of the human body. And every drop of water smiles at people (Fig. 2).

Jets of crystal clear water cleanse the whole body: they wash the brain from unnecessary thoughts, break through, dissolving the layers in the lungs, heart, intestines, remove stones from their gallbladder and kidneys, relaxing all muscles and saturating every cell with the kind cosmic energy of smiles.

This energy flows and spreads to all organs of the body. Cheeks, nose, mouth, neck, chest, arm muscles relax. The tension of all muscles is relieved, heat arises; inner peace and quiet is provided. And every organ begins to smile. Smiling eyes, eyebrows, nose, ears. Shoulders, arms, legs are smiling. The whole body smiles.

And an inner smile will surely touch your lips, against your will. It will not be ostentatious and fake like the American "duty smile", but will be warm and slightly noticeable, like the "Gioconda smile".

Here, obviously, the “herd instinct” is fully triggered, laid down in man by nature for millions of years, when we, unconsciously, copy the behavior of others. And at the concert we laugh heartily when everyone around us laughs (although the jokes of the hosts are not very successful). And in the reading room of the library we diligently work through boring textbooks, when all the visitors around are doing the same.

In the crowd of laughing and smiling people on the street - we will definitely smile too. Although not suspecting what caused this fun.

Since we cannot organize a crowd of smiling people at our discretion every day, it is more expedient to imagine every day a flow of smiling water droplets and smiling organs of our body. Which will automatically bring our smile to our lips.

Studies on the influence of positive emotions on the state of the body systems of schoolchildren [2] with registration of the conductivity of biologically active points (according to Nakatani-Ryodorak) revealed significant shifts depending on the influence of the positive emotional component (Fig. 3).

Back in ancient China, the Tao Masters discovered the power of a smile, which generates high-quality energy that can heal. They practiced an inner smile to themselves. This achieved sustainable positive emotions, health, happiness and longevity.
