A veteran of British UFO research, Philip Mantle, spoke about the details of the secret case of the 70s of the last century. According to eyewitnesses to the event, that day, three different military radars simultaneously detected a group of six or seven unidentified objects near Salisbury Plain.

Officer Alain Turner, who at the time was the head of the Royal Air Force in the city of Snot, said that in 1971, he and 10 others watched unexplained flashes on radar. “From a point about twenty nautical miles east of the eastern end of the Salisbury Plains,” recalls a former military man, “there was a group of six or seven objects heading south-east. They were about six miles apart."

Further, Mr. Turner said that the objects were originally at an altitude of 3 thousand feet (a little over 900 meters), however, when they disappeared from radar about forty miles from the original point, their height was already about 60 thousand feet (~ 18 km). “To climb to that height in just forty miles was unrealistic for any fighter at the time,” added the retired officer.

Turner claims that four civilian and six military dispatchers who were on duty at other sites at the time also witnessed the phenomenon. “I called Heathrow and found out they were seeing the same picture,” he continued. "The same situation was observed at the command post of RAF Neatishead fighters, near Norwich in Norfolk."

According to renowned British UFO researcher Philip Mantle, this investigation was the most memorable of his career. More details of this and other cases, he will tell at the UFO conference Outer Limits Magazine, which will be held in Kingston upon Hull (East Riding of Yorkshire, UK) on September 9.
