One of the documents in the declassified archives of the US Central Intelligence Agency begins with a postscript by CIA Director Robert M. Gates: "Russia, the source is unreliable." Russian military unit in Siberia, the exact coordinates are unknown (hidden by the original source). Based on the monitoring of publications in newspapers and magazines of that time, it is assumed that the events took place in a military unit near Barnaul.
At lunchtime, the officer on duty at the military unit discovered an unidentified flying object in the shape of a saucer, which hovered directly over the unit relatively low - with the naked eye, one could see its outlines and details such as a hatch under the saucer with the likeness of steps, windows and special holes in the hull with devices resembling the muzzle of guns.
The entire unit was alerted, but instead of forming on the parade ground, which could be dangerous, the soldiers were ordered to disperse across the territory, take cover and watch. Someone watched the plate, hiding under a bench, someone looked out of the window or from under the commander's UAZ. For about 30 minutes, the object did not move, did not perform any action. All this time, the radio operators were waiting for instructions from the headquarters - what to do. Finally the order was given: to launch a surface-to-air missile at the target and report back after the defeat.
The rocket was launched at 14:16 and immediately overtook the target. The UFO did not explode or catch fire, it slowly glided down and landed leisurely on the field that the military used for training. From it emerged five very short humanoids (about one meter each) with disproportionately large heads and large black eyes. They stood in a circle, joined hands and … turned into a white glowing
a ball that buzzed and sparkled like a giant ball of lightning, followed by a deafening explosion. After the flash of light, neither the aliens nor the plate appeared on the field.
The worst was ahead: 23 soldiers, who were in the vicinity of the scene, turned into stones.
The soldier (those that were lying - entirely, and those that fell and scattered from impact to the ground - in parts) were taken to the research center. According to experts, a source of energy unknown to earthlings instantly changed the structure of the tissues of the soldiers' organisms, turning them at the molecular level into something similar to limestone.
All materials on this case were immediately classified, but, according to data from the CIA archives, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the retired officer himself contacted and told about the events in the military unit for money. His name, as well as the amount of the fee received for the "drain", were not disclosed.
