The entire Mayan civilization is shrouded in mystery. For their time, they were so developed that many associate them with aliens who gave them their secret knowledge.
How else to explain the fact that they made incredible inventions that were not possessed by other civilizations of that time? The Maya also possessed vast territories, which made them even more majestic and mysterious. Even after a huge amount of time, modern people never cease to be amazed at what buildings they built and what discoveries they made. Yes, it is worth remembering with what trepidation many were waiting for the coming of 2012. Indeed, according to the Mayan calendar, this year was supposed to be the last for earthly civilization.
Due to the fact that the Maya were a highly developed nation, they left behind many buildings and ancient artifacts by which one can judge their life. But despite their development, they were very religious people and made sacrifices to their gods, from whom they supposedly received all the knowledge and managed to reach this level of development. Their rites were terrible and I will not describe them. That only is the burial alive or the removal of the heart from a living person. Now it may seem wild to us, although some tribes of the world still lead this way of life and make sacrifices.
But the biggest question for modern society and scientists is where such a powerful civilization disappeared and what was the reason. There is evidence that the Mayan territories began to empty gradually. There are various hypotheses about where the Mayan civilization could have disappeared. And the versions are both quite traditional and absolutely fantastic. The first include wars, epidemics, depletion of natural resources and severe drought, as a result of which people had nothing to eat.
But there are also fantastic versions, which involve supernatural forces, aliens and technologies that have become available to the Maya. Due to the high level of development, they could learn to open portals to other worlds and having found a better one, they simply decided to move to it. Or they could be taken to their planet by aliens, who talked about technology and, having reached a certain level of development, the Maya became worthy to live with their mentors.
Numerous images found from the Mayan civilization, on which there are spaceships, humanoids, people in spacesuits and other strange objects that do not fit into the version about the usual extinction of an ancient civilization, can speak in favor of the alien version.
And the construction of huge pyramids throughout the Mayan domain raises many questions. Even the owners of modern technology will require quite a lot of effort to erect such monuments, not to mention the colossal costs of their construction. How did the Maya manage to build so masterfully and leave behind a huge number of incredible and mystical buildings, over the riddles of which the best minds of mankind are beating? It is possible that we will never solve this mystery and the Maya will forever remain for us a mystical civilization that has disappeared into nowhere.
