On the Internet about these places you will find a lot of tourist reports with a detailed route how to get there, descriptions of the beauty of unearthly landscapes and … stories about the strange sensations that a traveler experiences when he is there. They share their impressions of a strange state of thoughtfulness, heightened delight, or, on the contrary, depression.

All these stories could be called cute fantasies, if not for one circumstance. The ridge in question is indeed very different from its fellows. He really is an alien, only not from space, but … from below. The fact is that it is located on the Main Ural fault, in the place where the Siberian plate collided with the Russian plate, squeezing out to the surface part of the rocks of the Ural paleoocean. Scientists will tell you more about this, they also find strong energy, magnetic fields and even increased gravity in these places.

The landscape from the top of the ridge, by the way, is very low (only 752 meters), and is really unrealistic. The whole world at a glance! It is no coincidence that these places are a tasty morsel for professional photographers, here you can take great pictures. Far, to the very horizon, stretch low mountains overgrown with steppe vegetation, sometimes forming circular swirls that resemble a giant fan. Small areas of the forest are tactfully hidden in ravines so as not to obstruct the view of an inquisitive traveler. Far in the west you can see the Iremel and Urenga ridges, in the south you can see Alabia, and in the northeast of Ilmeny and the Chashkovsky ridge.

I guess that after such a detailed orientation on the terrain, experienced tourists happily recognized the Nurali ridge, which is located in the Uchalinsky region of sunny Bashkortostan. A friendly company of the tourist club "Compass of the Urals" landed here one fine August day.

Passing the neighboring villages of Starobayramgulovo and Yalchigulovo, they amused themselves with multicolored flocks of well-fed geese - with blue, red, yellow feathers on their backs. Apparently, this is how local residents distinguish their bird from their neighbors. The houses in these parts are solid. I go to one of them and ask to sell some potatoes for soup. And there is a feast like a mountain: a table for the whole room, with food bursting. "Oh, - I say, - you have a holiday, congratulations." "What are you, - they answer, - we have it like that every day." Comedians.

The Nurali ridge is accessible even for an unprepared tourist. The slope is gentle, even, not an ascent, but an easy walk. Distance is surprisingly deceiving: it seems that only five minutes have passed, and when you look back, the lonely tree that was just nearby has managed to turn into a small dot. As if several kilometers left behind …

Amazing flowers grow here, scientifically - dry-loving rocks. Either gentle and weightless, now tough, prickly. The steppe dandelion attracts attention: a fluffy purple ball on a white leg. She looks cute, she feels thorny to the touch. It is called that - blue thorn or erythematosus. By the way, the medicinal plant is a good expectorant, soothing in nightmares and even toothache.

After admiring the surroundings from the top of the Nurali ridge, we went to Lake Aushkul - a small but very picturesque one. The village of Starobayramgulovo is comfortably located on its banks, and the main decoration of the landscape is the sacred mountain Aushtash. At its top are three graves of Baghdad missionaries - a place of pilgrimage for Muslims from all over the country. In spring, when only two weeks a year a holy spring beats on the slope of this mountain, huge queues line up here. And for good reason. An analysis of the water made in 2010 confirmed that the spring contains valuable trace elements that improve physical and mental performance, metabolism. The water from this source even slows down aging!

Swimming on the lake Aushkul ended our pleasant weekend walk. Juicy watermelon, swimming in pleasant, unusually warm water is a great ending. The lake is not too deep, and the bottom is covered with small flat flat stones. Nearby, in a pine grove, we noticed a secluded flock of tents. Seasoned tourists know a lot about good camping.

Several days have passed, and the impressions of this trip are not letting go. The soul is somehow cozy and warm. Photos of Anna Gordeyko - a wonderful photographer from Ozersk - surprisingly accurately convey the gentle charm, roundness of lines, fresh air, depth of space. I should return here again, climb Aushtash, wander along the slopes of Nurali, again feel the unearthly and mysterious attraction of these places …,

How to get there

Drive along the road to Uchaly, turn off after Komsomolsk. You can drive through the village of Yalchigulovo and move along the ridge, but the road there goes through the forests. If you are not traveling by jeep, then it is better to drive through the village of Starobayramgulovo and go around Mount Aushkul from the eastern side.
