Let us once again literally quote the description of the “vimaana” from the ancient treatise: “His body, made of light material, like a large flying bird, must be strong and durable. Inside should be placed a device with mercury and an iron heating device under it. Through the force that lurks in mercury and which sets in motion the carrying vortex, a person inside this chariot can fly long distances across the sky in the most amazing way. Four sturdy containers for mercury should be placed inside. When they are heated with controlled fire from iron devices, the chariot will develop the power of thunder thanks to mercury. And she immediately turns into a "pearl in the sky." What could really be behind all this?

First of all, "device with mercury", "heating device", "carrying a vortex" - what can this mean?

To begin with, it is worth recalling that a heated vessel with mercury is the basis of the simplest diffusion vacuum pump (DVN). Is it not with his help that the ancients suggest that we rise into the air? Of the various pump designs, one that resembles this description is the most appropriate - the toroidal type. Outwardly, it looks like a flat cylinder filled with liquid metal - mercury. Under it is a microwave oven ("heating device") and electromagnetic coils - a stator. The latter creates a "running" magnetic field, which drives the mercury into rotation, which becomes, as it were, the rotor of an induction motor. Its rotation speed is several hundred thousand revolutions per minute. Under the action of centrifugal force, mercury will take the shape of a donut-toroid, in which, due to uneven heating, an internal vortex movement also arises (a spiral, packed in a bagel). Thanks to the "heating device", the mercury from the liquid will go into a state of supersaturated vapor.

Due to the rotation of the "steam bagel" and the diffusion of specially supplied air into it, a very high vacuum is formed in the cylinder. Due to internal vortices in the "rotor", the absorbed air is at its periphery and squeezed out to the inner wall. Then it is collected by a special jacket and thrown out through the jet nozzle. But this stream pushes the apparatus forward, and another tears it off the ground.

Air enters the DVN from above. It rushes to the air intake opening, and not in a straight line, but twisting in a spiral. Above the upper casing of the vehicle, around the hole, its rotation speed will exceed 500 km / h, which will lead to a sharp drop in pressure and the formation of a vacuum zone. This, according to the well-known Bernoulli's law, means the emergence of a huge lifting force (the same "carrying a vortex"), comparable to the force of a tornado.

In addition to the impressive lifting force and simplicity of design, toroidal type DVNs have at least two other valuable properties. First, they have a significant gyroscopic effect. This is very important, because at high speeds the discs have little stability. The arrangement of four turbine-gyroscopes will increase stability many times over. The second necessary quality is the ability of the pump to levitate due to the monstrous speed of rotation of the mercury rotor. At the same time, its weight is compensated.

In a Sanskrit manuscript, there is a drawing illustrating the "vimana". Obviously, it shows a section of the aircraft. We see two DVN turbines with 4 pumps each. From an engineering point of view, the joint arrangement of pumps with a common air intake is optimal for increasing engine power for a given donut diameter.

Thus, we are talking about an absolutely specific aircraft with its own technical advantages (and disadvantages, where can we go without it), which today can be created and used without any problems. Another thing is that mankind has made significant progress in aircraft construction, and it is not a fact that it needs “vimans” using mercury, which is dangerous for nature and people …

But it is also worth considering one more point: the ancient Indians could mention mercury already in their understanding of the "technologies of the gods". Yes, she can create a "carrying vortex" and lift this device into the sky. But there is a more perfect way for “vimana”: the same “carrying vortex” with constructive 4 turbines, based on the energy of a magnetic (or electromagnetic) field - after all, we know that the ancient “gods” possessed this particular type of energy … was used in pyramids, presumably - in dolmens. Then why not assume that it was also used in "vimanas", and "mercury recipe" is already a conjecture of people who simply did not know and could not understand, explain the principles of the electromagnetic field and energy of this type?

Vimana, based on the "magnetic vortex", can surpass the capabilities of even ultra-modern flying devices created by man!

PS Science also knows the "magnetic fluid", which by its color and properties could have been mistaken by the ancients for mercury …

We can also offer a video about the device of vimanas based on the treatise "Vimanika Shastra" (another version):
