The American space agency NASA has figured out the mystery of the origin of the strange "black spot" on the planet Jupiter. The agency received footage from the Juno satellite back on February 2, but it was decided to share it with the world community only today.
The images were delivered to NASA from the Juno spacecraft, which has joined Jupiter's orbit. On one of them, the attention of American scientists was attracted by a strange "black spot" on the surface of the planet, located near the North Pole. Researcher-enthusiast Roman Tkachenko helped to solve the mystery to colleagues from the agency, who made the image published on the NASA website more contrasting. After examining the edited photo, scientists came to the conclusion that Juno captured a strong storm on the surface of Jupiter, "spinning" high white clouds around him.
Earlier, NASA experts discovered a huge red spot on the surface of the fifth planet from the Sun, which turned out to be a giant hurricane, raging relentlessly on Jupiter.
