In the early 1990s, a journalist from Perm B. Bazhutin published in a local regional newspaper a report on an investigation he personally conducted in the village of Andronovo in the south of the Perm region. The events he described took place in July 1988.
One of the peasant women living in that village says:
“We collided here at the edge of the field. So I was walking along a country road, and he was going to meet me. At first I paid no attention. You never know who wanders? And when there were only a few steps left before him, I looked … Fathers! He has no head! And he himself was so extraordinary … No, it was not a man.
- You see, something really extraordinary is happening on the territory of our two collective farms - "Rassvet" and the name of Gorky, - the first secretary of the Chernushinsky district party committee V. Kopylov tried to clarify the situation. - But what exactly? All this is so simple, you know, and cannot be explained.
The beekeeper of the Gorky collective farm G. Sharoglazov says:
- It happened on the night of the sixteenth of July. As usual, I spent the night in my forest apiary. About midnight I left the hut into the fresh air. Then I saw two incomprehensible luminous objects. Almost touching, they hung in the air at an altitude of about two or three hundred meters. It was almost five kilometers from me.
It is not easy to determine the exact shape and size at such a distance. They were, in my opinion, oval, egg-shaped. A few minutes after I noticed them, one of the bodies disappeared. But soon it reappeared in the same place. I watched these two UFOs, watched, wondered what these ingenious devices were and who launched them into the sky, and then went to sleep.

“On the sixteenth of July, at about half past four in the morning, I went to the farm. It was just getting light. When I left the outskirts of the village, I saw a dark figure moving rapidly towards me from the hillock. Well, it's like someone is riding a motorcycle. At first I paid no attention. And then it was as if I was pushed in the side. How is it, I think, the motorcycle rides, but the noise of its running motor is not heard? Looked closer and I see - there is no motorcycle at all!
In some incomprehensible way, a black silhouette is moving very quickly along the path across the field. Height above the average human. Legs are short. But the arms are very long - they hang along the body below the knees. On the shoulders instead of a head there is a small bump …
I was dying with fear. I stand and do not know where to go. And the figure is getting closer and closer! But suddenly it all lit up, as if a lamp had been lit inside it, and … And it disappeared. All this took place in absolute silence. With a headache, I rushed as fast as I could toward my farm. And when I looked back as I ran, I saw the same figure again moving along the path across the field.
Fireman V. Chikodanov, farm worker:
- Luda Medvedeva rushed to the farm terribly frightened. After listening to her story, the guys and I decided to organize an ambush near that field next evening. We went there in a large group by bus and "KamAZ". We waited for a long time, but did not see anyone. Then almost everyone who arrived there left … The three of us stayed near the field - me, Sasha Sannikov and Seryozha Kokorin.
We hid in a hay warehouse near the field and decided to watch for a few more hours. We are sitting near the open doors of the warehouse, waiting … And then we see - in the night twilight from a ravine three hundred meters away from us two black headless creatures crawled out. They very quickly crossed the field and disappeared behind a hillock.
Farm watchman V. Melchakov:
- And I saw these freaks in a completely different place. At first one in the morning I discovered that I had run out of cigarettes. I went to one of the neighbors for tobacco. Not far from my house, almost nose to nose, I ran into two headless big men. They walked a few steps away from me.
The groom G. Medvedev:
“Over the course of five days and nights, several times in July I saw tall black creatures without heads passing through the same place through a field. They usually appeared in pairs. Somehow I had the idea to catch up with them on horseback. But while I was leading the horse, while saddling it, the black creatures disappeared …
