Chelyabinsk residents are frightened by the Chupacabra. Residents of private homes began to complain that someone was killing their pets and drinking their blood. Locals have not yet succeeded in determining who is entering the plots by traces. Veterinarians make their assumptions and give recommendations on how to protect farms from a mysterious predator.
Of the 13 domestic ducks in this household, only one remained: three birds disappeared without a trace, nine more Rustambek Kurbonov found dead. He bought them a few weeks ago to cook on Eid al-Adha, but they didn’t live until the holiday only a couple of days - an unknown predator killed them and drank their blood.
Rustambek Kurbonov, owner of ducks: “Nobody has seen the Chupacabra, we just heard about it, I also think Chupacabra, yes”.
Local residents are at a loss - the beast left strange traces. The distance between the canines is too small for a fox or dog, and for a rat, the animal, on the contrary, has too large a mouth. Even those who do not keep pets at home are no less scared - they also noticed strange footprints in their gardens.
We showed the photos of the killed ducks to the veterinarian Yuri Ryazanov. The doctor says - this is not the first such case. He is often approached by frightened people with a request to find out who drinks the blood of their animals. The doctor is sure - there is no Chupacabra, these are wild animals. Due to the lack of food in the forest, they go out into the city, and domestic ducks and chickens become easy prey for them. In this case, the birds were most likely killed by an animal from the weasel family.
Yuri Ryazanov, veterinarian: "If such an animal gets into a chicken coop or duck house, the animal can kill one or two birds, partly eat, the rest simply strangles or, as you have already noticed, drinks blood, that is, it is quite natural."
For humans, these animals are not terrible, experts say, but pets must be protected. Wooden fences and metal nets are no obstacle for wild animals. Having sensed an easy prey, the animal will most likely return to the place of a successful hunt.
Let's remind that the last time the Chelyabinsk "Chupacabra" made itself felt a little less than a year ago, then an unknown animal attacked the pigs.
