Researchers have found out who owned the artifact, similar to the modern "Nokia"

The Russian segment of the Internet has joined in the active dissemination of information about an "ancient find that looks like a mobile phone" - it was discovered by archaeologists during excavations in the town of Fuschl am See in the Austrian district of Salzburg. Several dozen news portals reported: the found artifact is very similar to the modern "Nokia". At the same time, some clarified that the mobile phone is not real, but made of clay - it is a kind of copy. That is, he never called, just as the old man Hottabych's phones did not ring, who made them for the youth Volka, pulling the hairs out of his beard.

In the sources of current information, it is rightly noted: the presence of a clay copy does not at all reveal the veil of secrecy. Indeed, if it - a copy - was made in prehistoric times, then there was an equally ancient original. At least the author of the copy saw it.

The mystery is aggravated by the fact that instead of Arabic numerals, the “buttons” bear the Sumerian cuneiform script, which was in use about 5 thousand years ago. It is also available on the "display".

What is the reason for the current surge of interest in the "ancient mobile phone" is not known. Western media calmed down about him two years ago. And they even reported what exactly such a supernatural artifact is. But it looks like not everyone is familiar with the results of the investigation.

The first on December 21, 2015, the "news" along with the photo was published by the Conspiracy Club. Then the portal of the British newspaper The Express was connected, which wondered: what does the found artifact testify to - about a developed civilization that existed in antiquity, or about time travel?

The Express was the first to develop the "news", supplementing it with the details that experts dated the mobile phone to the 13th century BC. But at the same time, the portal reported in the title that the mobile phone is 800 years old, obviously confusing the designations "BC" and "from the birth of Christ." And many followers, continuing to talk about the ancient mobile phone, emphasized that it was 800 years old.

Further on the site MysteriousUniverse.org "news" and a photo were commented on by the expert on the Sumerians Zecharia Sitchin, referring still to 1300 BC. In his opinion, the phone was brought to Earth by the Anunnaki space aliens who flew from the planet Nibiru.

The attitude to information about the "Sumerian mobile phone", which was walking on numerous sites, was twofold: someone was sincerely amazed at it, and someone considered it a "duck". The truth, which was revealed in the same 2015, turned out to be in the middle. An artifact that looks like a mobile phone - the one in the photo - really exists. Moreover, it is directly related to the ancient Sumerians. But he himself is not at all ancient.

The clay tablet imitating the Sumerian one was made by German sculptors Karin and Karl Weingärtner in January 2012 at the Art Replik Studio. The photos were posted on their Facebook page. At the same time, they explained: they say, this would look like a mobile phone among the ancient Sumerians, if mobile phones then existed. They joked.

In other words, a telephone is a modern art object. The rest is invented.

As Karl lamented in an interview with The Huffington Post, the photo of the object was borrowed from him without any links to the authors and without permission.

However, the hoax succeeded. As evidenced by the current hype.
