In the summer of 2011, all world newspapers spread the news that a prehistoric UFO was found at the bottom of the Baltic Sea and now lying under water at a depth of 87 meters.

The newspaper called the mysterious object Baltic UFO (Baltic UFO), or Baltic anomaly ("Baltic anomaly") and began vying with each other to offer explanations of its origin. Nothing smarter than comparing it to the Millennium Falcon from the Star Wars movie epic about the Star Wars newspapermen did not come up with.

Sometimes more plausible explanations were offered. For example, former Swedish submarine officer Anders Autellus suggested that at the bottom of the Baltic Sea, perhaps one of the most secret structures of the Third Reich was discovered - part of a trap with which the Germans fought submarines of the USSR, USA and Great Britain.

The hypothesis turned out to be quite amusing, nevertheless, it seemed to be much closer to reality than the arguments of the officials that all this is “the play of nature” in the form of fragments of basalt rock brought into the sea by a glacier. It was very funny about the glacier, because in a strange object almost everything consists of right angles and if its vertical parts are taken for walls, then the floor to them lies at an angle of exactly 90 degrees.

In general, while there was only sonar data, everyone was waiting with interest for the results of the study of Peter Lindberg, who took up the topic by organizing the Ocean X expedition. But first months passed, then years - and nothing about the results, except for a few new photos and measurements known. However, Ocean X was found to:

a) the main object of the anomaly has a diameter of 60 meters, however, nearby, at a distance of about 200 meters, there is another similar object with a diameter of 40 meters.

b) each of the objects has noticeable traces of sliding along the bottom, starting in the same place, at a distance of 1500 meters from the objects, on the basis of which it would be logical to consider the Baltic anomaly as one object, which as a result of some events fell to the bottom of the sea and split in two.

Since neither Peter Lindbergh, nor, moreover, from the officials, no more explanations were received, the modeler got down to business, that is, a computer graphics specialist who creates 3D objects. During his work, he used the well-known Google Sketch-up program, which helps well to transfer dimensions from a drawing to a modeled object, and the Blender program:

A three-dimensional model of something is very convenient in that it can be easily scaled, rotated and composited with other similar objects. In particular, with a three-dimensional model of the second object of the anomaly.

The main problem of this "UFO", confusing everyone, was the height of flat horizontal protrusions that resemble walls. The height of these walls was only 1.5 meters, which is not enough for the corridor, unless we assume that dwarfs walked along the corridor. However, when both objects were stacked on top of each other

- the walls completely coincided, forming corridors 3 meters high. And the resulting complex as a whole was something that strongly resembles a coastal defense battery.

As can be seen from these figures, a comparison of the Baltic anomaly with the bunkers of existing coastal guns leads to the fact that there are no other options left to explain the purpose of this thing. Moreover, manipulations with a polygonal object allowed the author of the study to even recreate the internal structure of the object:

And now, from all of the above, the question arises: who built all this? Third Reich, that is, the Germans? But how did they transport all this, the movement of such huge structures by sea is impossible? Where is the battery armament, or at least something that resembles gun carriages? Where are the reinforcement bars, did the Germans build their fortifications from reinforced concrete? Finally, why is this mobile stone fort so poorly preserved? Have they eaten shells in 70 years?

The answer to all these questions is simple and ridiculously obvious, since this structure was not made by the Third Reich, not in the 20th, not in the 19th century, but much, much earlier and is an example of antediluvian coastal fortifications. The sea has dissolved the metal for several centuries, but the stone from which everything was made remained.

While the Baltic anomaly was presented only on blurry sonar images, the topic went to the newspapers, since it was still incomprehensible and there could really be a bizarre rock there. But when Ocean X went to the Baltic anomaly and divers descended there, everything immediately became clear to everyone, so the topic was urgently hushed up, even fresh mentions of “UFOs at the bottom of the Baltic Sea are nowhere”. And the officials had no other options, because, if a child can believe in a fairy tale about the Egyptians, then even an imbecile child will not believe in a fairy tale about Pithecanthropus who built coastal batteries.
