Scientists have recorded a drone of unknown origin at the bottom of the Indian Ocean. Strong seismic waves emanated from the source for 20 minutes in all directions.

The center of the mysterious drone is located 24 kilometers from the island of Mayotte, which is between Africa and Madagascar. From it, seismic waves reached the shores of Africa, Canada, South America (Chile), Hawaii and New Zealand.

A strange hum was recorded by researchers on November 11, 2018, but the information got into the media only on November 28. It is also reported that for some reason not a single person seemed to feel this powerful hum and it was visible only on the screens of seismographs.

All seismologists aloud repeat that this is an anomalous phenomenon and they have never seen anything like it before. Among them is the seismologist from Columbia University Goran Ekstrem, who specializes in anomalous earthquakes.

According to experts, seismic waves were low-frequency and monochromatic, that is, they had a certain and constant frequency. Usually, these are echoes of extremely powerful earthquakes, but they have not been recorded recently.

In addition, people would immediately feel such an earthquake, but they, as mentioned above, simply did not notice it.

At the moment, scientists are trying to understand "what it boomed." According to them, there are three main versions: the displacement of magma under the island of Mayotte, a "slow" earthquake and the eruption of an underwater volcano.

There are also versions of a very large meteorite falling into the ocean.
