We learned about this story in March 2014 from Valery Nikolayevich Galeev, a journalist of the local regional newspaper Ivatsevichsky Vestnik, who once heard it directly from one of the eyewitnesses.
In order to avoid the effect of a “damaged phone” when receiving information “from third parties”, it was decided to conduct a direct survey of eyewitnesses. In this regard, on April 6, several representatives of "Ufokom" traveled to the town of Ivatsevichi. Here's what we found out …
It happened on March 10, 1992. The date was established with such accuracy after so many years thanks to one event - the purchase of a washing machine, which was carried that day by Ivan Turchin and Mikhail Samusenko from Telekhan to Ivatsevichi in a car. It was already dark - about 21.30, when in the area of the village. Goats, they noticed a bright light above the horizon.
As it turned out, some residents of Kozik became observers of this phenomenon, but they considered it to be the light of a helicopter searchlight. At first it seemed to Ivan Turchin that these were the headlights of the combines moving along the road to Vulka Obrovskaya. True, it was strange that someone needed to drive harvesters somewhere in March, and even at a later time. But, having appeared at the turn to Vulka Obrovskaya, it became clear that the object emitting a white glow was further away - above the forest. Here the men stopped the car to take a closer look at what was happening.

The UFO hung motionless in the sky towards the village. Vlasovites (azimuth 230 degrees), at a small angular height above the forest. A few minutes later, he began to descend slowly until he disappeared behind the trees. The light it emitted was so powerful that it illuminated the trees underneath, and after planting, a glow could be seen above the forest.
Having become interested, the unwitting observers decided to make an attempt to get closer to the landing site, for which they turned onto a forest road. We went a little deeper into the forest and stopped. Then they had to go on foot. Mikhail preferred to stay in the car, but Ivan nevertheless risked going towards the unknown.

Approaching about 100 meters to the clearing, the glow was visible, making its way between the tree trunks. At this distance, a low monotonous sound became audible. At the same time, the eyewitness was overwhelmed with such horror that the intentions to examine everything closer immediately vanished. He preferred to return to the car, after which he and a friend went home. Ivan Turchin had a chance to visit again the place of events and the meadow only 4-5 years later, but, naturally, no unusual traces could be found there.
Together with Ivan Turchin, we made a trip to the observation site (turn from the P6 highway to Vulka Obrovskaya), and also visited a clearing in a forest near the village. Vlasov, where, according to an eyewitness, the object landed.
It is worth mentioning that his testimony about the shape of the luminous object was mixed. Perhaps the reason for this was the fact that more than twenty years have passed since the event and the details have already been erased from memory, or it was difficult for the witness, based on his vocabulary, to clearly describe the observed object.
According to Ivan Ivanovich, initially it was about the headlights of several combines, which could be interpreted as a procession of lights, then they mentioned a luminous ring, and when clarified on the spot, it turned out that it would be more correct to talk about a spherical light source.
Localization of the object landing site
Determining the angular dimensions was also not the best, even with careful explanation. Moreover, the discrepancy in the assessments can hardly be called significant, rather enormous. Outside the place of observation, an eyewitness determined the angular size of the object at about 20-25 degrees, which at a distance of 3 km gave an incredible linear size of 1000 m.
When interviewed directly at the site of observation with clarification with reference to objects on the ground, it gave more modest results - an angular size of a maximum of 1 degree and a corresponding linear size - up to 50 m. Although subjectively, the size of a UFO was estimated at 8-10 m. As practice shows in in the field of ufology, eyewitnesses as a whole tend to greatly exaggerate in their estimates the angular dimensions of the observed objects.
Why this parameter is as subjective as their determination of linear dimensions. Therefore, the determination of the angular dimensions should be carried out from the words of eyewitnesses by an experienced researcher conducting the survey, with the obligatory reference to landmarks.
When interviewing the second eyewitness, Mikhail Samusenko, new details suddenly surfaced. He remembered fewer details about the events of that evening, but his additions seemed no less interesting. First, there was a difference in the description of the observed object that landed in the forest.
Unlike Ivan Turchin's testimony, Mikhail saw a cone of light above the forest, emitted by an object indistinguishable in the dark. And the color of the glow was indicated by him not white, but red-yellow. An interesting nuance that may hint at a difference in the perception of the same phenomenon by different people.
Secondly, Mikhail said that a week after the observation during the hunt, he wandered into the designated clearing. This square served the residents of the neighboring village as a kind of grassland. There was usually good grass here. And on that day, in a clearing in the tall grass [in mid-March, could it only be about last year's vegetation? - ed.] a circle of flattened vegetation with a diameter of about 5 to 10 m was found.
Thus, we are dealing with one more report on the meadow phenomenon in the Republic of Belarus, not documented, but related to the sighting of UFOs.

In general, this case with the UFO landing near Ivatsevichi in 1992 can be attributed to significant reports, especially since the documented cases with more or less localized landing sites on the territory of Belarus are quite few. A certain difficulty here is caused by the classification of the presented case, which can be attributed to both distant observations and close contacts of the second kind.
