MIT Technology Review reports: “In a breakthrough that defines how life can be created, embryologists at the University of Cambridge in the UK are growing real mouse embryos using only stem cells. No eggs. No sperm. It's just that the cells have been pulled out of another embryo.”
"The researchers carefully positioned the cells in a three-dimensional scaffold and watched, fascinated, as they [the cells] began to bind and align into the characteristic shape of a mouse embryo."
“We know that stem cells are magical in their powerful potential for what they can do. But we couldn't even imagine that they could organize themselves so beautifully or beautifully,”said Magdelena Zernicka-Goetz, who leads the team of scientists.

I have no doubt that scientists will gladly edit the genes of these embryos to see what fundamental changes they can bring to humans.
And I have no doubt that in a laboratory on the beaten track, researchers will try to bring a synthetic human embryo to a certain date, such as the living breath of a child.
