The building of the Supreme Court of Georgia is an old beautiful mansion in the historical part of Tbilisi. One of the most wonderful in the Georgian capital. Now it is in the spotlight not only because of its architecture, but also because … a ghost has settled in it

The Tbilisi newspaper "Versia" cannot be classified as a frivolous publication. True, it is not a leading newspaper, but one of the leaders of the Georgian media market. Most likely it is in the top ten. However, I cannot vouch for the accuracy of this. It was “Versia” that reported that a ghost appeared in the Supreme Court of Georgia. For several weeks now he has been walking free there.

The court security officers spotted him first. Naturally, at night. When was it that the ghosts did not appear at night? In their chaotic story, it was about a certain shadow that could be noticed in the dark corridors of the mansion. Then the shadow underwent a metamorphosis and became a kind of cloudy substance. One of the guards told reporters that in recent days the ghost was seen not only by the guards, but also by the court staff. The case went so far that the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Kote Kublashvili, according to "Versia", held a meeting and asked the staff to set up a night watch to find out what was going on after working hours at the institute entrusted to him.

Serious people work in the Supreme Court, although the Georgian opposition may have a different opinion on this matter. But in any case, these people said that the ghost of the former Georgian Finance Minister Yuza Kobakhidze, who was shot in the late 70s, is probably wandering in the corridors of the building. It was a sensational case. The minister was allegedly caught red-handed bribing. According to other rumors, Kobakhidze was framed, he became a victim of intrigue. One way or another, but the execution, to which the minister was sentenced, was regarded by many in Tbilisi as an unjust - excessively cruel sentence. Nevertheless, the Soviet court, despite numerous appeals and motions, upheld the capital punishment against Kobakhidze.

All would, of course, nothing, if in the late 80s in the Georgian media there would have been a fuss about … a ghost in the building of the Supreme Court. Then the freed press wrote about everything. And then a watchman ran into a ghost in the building - either an employee of a private security guard, or a police officer. Naturally, also at night.

He led a sober lifestyle, for he suffered from a stomach ulcer in some serious form. After a couple or two of meetings with a ghost, which, according to his story, greatly annoyed him with petty theft, dirty tricks, frightened him, the guard filed an application with the authorities with a request to transfer to another object. But no one seriously considered the application, because the ghost did not bother the other shift, and they decided that something went wrong in the guard's head.
