The Chelyabinsk meteorite became known to the whole world for its power on February 15, 2013, when a huge fireball swept over Russia and crashed in the Chelyabinsk region. According to the official scientific version, an object bursting from space into the earth's atmosphere was recognized as a meteorite. Was it really a natural meteorite? There is a version that the military shot down an unidentified aircraft over the city. Hundreds of eyewitnesses in Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk observed a gigantic glow in the morning sky, and a loud explosion reached them from above before the object fell to the ground. According to an interview with journalists from expert Sergei Zakharov, chairman of the Chelyabinsk regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society, “The level of iron in the water has increased in this reservoir, and the bottom temperature has risen abnormally. The first couple of years after the fall of the Chelyabinsk meteorite, for some unknown reason, the water in the lake bloomed profusely, but now, years later, everything is back to normal."
