Julia, 45, from Wilkes Barr, Pennsylvania, has been drinking other people's blood for many years, which they donate to her voluntarily. The woman claims it gives her strength and makes her more attractive. Julia is a mother of two children, but she is not very lucky with men, since they do not want to put up with her peculiarity.
According to Julia, she first tasted human blood at the age of 15, having bitten her boyfriend during a kiss. The girl liked the taste so much that she felt an irresistible desire to drink biological fluid.
“I can't explain where I got this desire from,” Julia recalls. - Probably, this is how my natural instinct manifested itself. I liked the taste of blood, but that guy didn't want to kiss me anymore.”
Apparently, Julia's boyfriend did not like this approach. He dissapeared. After that, the girl began to look for "donors" who agreed to "give" her their blood on a voluntary basis. At the same time, she became addicted to films about vampires and other evil spirits. It is clear that it was not easy for her to find a permanent man. She had to part with her daughter's father, Ariel.
In 2000, a woman married a certain Donald, who at the time called himself a ghoul and seemed to completely share the views of his future wife. The wedding was played in a "vampire" style, and, of course, the newly minted couple gave each other a taste of their blood.
The couple could be expected to live happily ever after. But when their son Alex was born, Donald gave up his "vampire" habits. But Julia continued to drink someone else's blood. On this basis, the spouses had disagreements, and they divorced. However, this did not upset Julia too much, who believes that human blood makes her beautiful, young and energetic.
Now Julia, who, by the way, is a social worker by profession, drinks about two liters of blood every month. She finds "donors" among people who are fond of occultism. To get her "portion", the woman makes small cuts on the skin of the "victim" with a knife. However, she never forgets about safety. “When meeting donors, I ask for a certificate confirming the absence of diseases such as AIDS or hepatitis,” says Julia.
Maintaining the "vampire" image, she decorated her cottage with horned skulls, crosses and occult symbols, and also loves to be photographed in the cemetery near the gravestones and coffins.

How do Julia's children relate to their mother's "hobby"? Her eldest daughter, 24-year-old Ariel, categorically dislikes such a "hobby" by her mother. As for 11-year-old Alex, they still hide Julia's addiction to blood from him, but he has already begun to guess something.
“We have coffins and dolls in our house. I think my mom is a vampire,”says the little boy. By the way, Julia is not such a unique phenomenon. Recently, the "vampire cult" has become quite widespread thanks to numerous films and books on this topic, in which the images of "ghouls" are often romanticized and idealized. Many of today's vampires do not hide their "tastes". Moreover, they emphasize them in every possible way, dressing in black, sharpening their fangs and applying appropriate makeup. They have their own clubs and hangouts, where they can take their souls away.
There is a vampire research center in New York under the direction of paranormal specialist Dr. Stephen Kaplan. According to the professor, 25 vampires are the object of his research. In addition, he personally knows 500 vampires, 300 of whom live in the United States, and three in England. However, all of them, as a rule, do not use human blood, but the blood of animals - most often cows or chickens. Some people drink blood from each other or find partners who allow them to do it with themselves voluntarily.
Kaplan has organized something like a community of vampires, where the latter come to communicate with each other. For example, Carol Bogenen from London works in a motorcycle shop during the day and goes to vampire parties at night. Her fangs are sharply sharpened, like a real ghoul. She wears black and red, does not like sunlight, and also dreams of living in a Gothic tower, riding a racehorse and … sleeping in a coffin!
Over the years of studying his "wards", Dr. Kaplan deduced the following patterns. Vampires, he argues, tend to have dark hair and brown eyes. Male vampires are about five feet ten inches tall, female vampires five feet six inches tall. The average age of men is 26 years, women - 23 years. According to statistics, vampires live longer and look younger than their peers.
