Scientists who investigated the mummy of the "alpine ice man" Ötzi learned the details of his death. It turned out, for example, that Ötzi had been shot from a bow from a fairly long distance - his killers were supposedly driven by envy or revenge.

“When I had not yet seen Ötzi with my own eyes, I thought that his body would be something very difficult to study. It turned out to be even better preserved than many much more recent bodies with which I have already dealt. As for the cause of Ötzi's death, it is undoubtedly murder. He was shot with a bow from about thirty meters. Ötzi was not ready for the attack - this is evidenced by the fact that half an hour before his death, he had a fairly dense meal. That is, he did not expect a threat and did not plan to flee,”says Munich police officer Alexander Horn.

Horn was about to initiate a criminal case under the article "murder", but remembered that it was a mummy, which is more than five thousand years old.

The true motives of this ancient crime have already completely disappeared in the mists of time, so versions of revenge or envy as the reasons for the murder are, of course, nothing more than the fantasies of criminologists.
