While excavating a 3,600-year-old palace in the once great city of Avaris, Egypt, a team of archaeologists unearthed four pits. What was found in the pits? These are the hands. These four ancient hand rubbish bins were found in the palace of King Hayana of the Hyksos, Western Asians who once ruled part of Northern Egypt.
Two were found outside the palace and two more near the throne room, indicating some ceremonial importance.
