What is it? A sophisticated hoax? House with the ghosts? Or did the owner of the mansion know the way to a parallel world?
These were the questions the researchers asked themselves when their eyes opened the contents of the boxes discovered in an old abandoned mansion in the London suburb. But first things first.
In 1960, builders were clearing a place for a new house. To do this, they needed to demolish an old mansion. During the work, a basement was discovered, which contained thousands of small sealed boxes. For some unknown reason, it was only in 2006 that specialists paid attention to the contents of these boxes. The find was analyzed.
In most of the boxes, the experts did not find anything special - five thousand samples of the known flora and fauna. However, the contents of some of the boxes amazed the researchers: they contained strange and unfamiliar species of insects, animals and even mythical creatures - a dragon, a fairy, a gnome and a vampire skull.
As it became known, the mansion belonged to Thomas Theodore Marilyn, the son of biologist Edward Marilyn. Thomas followed in his father's footsteps and traveled a lot. Obviously, the boxes found contained all the legacy of Marilyn's biologists, accumulated over a long and interesting life of nature lovers and researchers.
