Monomakh's hat
The symbol of the Russian monarchy. All Russian tsars in the XVI-XVII centuries were crowned with her. There is a legend that in the 12th century the Byzantine emperor Constantine sent her and other regalia on a golden platter to the Kiev Grand Duke Vladimir Monomakh, from whom, after many generations, this crown passed to the Moscow tsars. True, there is a version that the hat is a gift from Uzbek Khan to Yuri Danilovich or Ivan Kalita, whom he patronized. The hat could have been made according to their order by oriental craftsmen. It has been established that for the first time the grandson of Ivan III, Dmitry, who was never destined to become a monarch, was crowned with the cap of Monomakh in 1498.
Initially, Monomakh's hat was decorated with pearl and gold pendants, later it was trimmed with dark sable fur and crowned with a gold engraved pommel with a cross. The height of the hat with the cross is about 25 centimeters, its diameter is about 20 centimeters. There are six types of stones on the cap, a total of 43 pieces. Hat weight - 993.66 g. In 2002, for the 50th anniversary of Vladimir Putin, a group of Russian jewelers created an exact copy of Monomakh's hat, valued at 50 thousand US dollars.

Hat Kazan
A spare headdress for Russian monarchs. The hat was made around 1553 for Ivan the Terrible immediately after the conquest and annexation of the Kazan Khanate to the Russian state and the consolidation of the title of the Kazan Tsar. There is a version that it was made by the jewelers of the conquered khanate.
Gold, silver, rubies, emeralds, pearls, fur were used in its production. The cap is crowned with a 90-carat yellow sapphire. By the way, in the modern coat of arms of Kazan, this particular headdress crowns the shield.
Astrakhan hat
She is the crown of the "Big outfit". It was made in 1627 especially for Tsar Mikhail Romanov. The Astrakhan hat was named in honor of the conquest of the Astrakhan Khanate. The two-tier crown has a massive metal body, and a diadem with eight prongs is added to the bottom of the outer frame. At the bottom of the crown is attached sable fur, which is traditional for this type of crown - “caps”. The hat is decorated with 177 stones and pearls. Today this crown is crowned with the coat of arms of Astrakhan.
Siberian hat
She is “Altabasnaya”. It is named after the brocade-like fabric from which it was sewn in 1684 for Tsar Ivan V Alekseevich. To prevent the hat from wrinkling and retaining its shape, it was reinforced from the inside on a frame of smooth silver arcs. On a slightly shimmering background of the fabric, a pattern of openwork gold booze, colored with bright enamels and precious stones, is clearly read. In the inventory of 1702, the hat is estimated at 909 rubles.
Diamond hat for Ivan
Ivan V.'s spare headdress was designed for everyday use. The hat was also richly decorated with precious metals and diamonds, some of which Ivan transferred to his beloved Siberian hat.
Diamond hat for Peter
The first crown of Tsar Peter. In this headdress, it is noteworthy that in height and circumference it was significantly inferior to the similar "diamond hat" of Peter's older brother, Ivan V. After a trip to overseas countries and getting acquainted with local fashion, Peter was embarrassed to wear this crown in public. Apparently, he considered it unfashionable.
Monomakh's hat of the Second outfit
Spare hat (copy) of Monomakh. Also intended for the head of Peter. Apparently, he wore it once - for a "duet" wedding to the kingdom in 1682 together with his brother Ivan - that, however, was the original of Monomakh's hat.
